I can see Ryanair going bust

Not before I get to Italy next week please :worry:

i've flown ryan air once and the plane was delayed 4 hours

Parents with a newborn baby were unable to get seats together, and the seat the woman did get was too close to the emergency exit so she wasn't allowed to hold the baby. It's getting that sort of stuff right that makes flying bearable, and saving a few quid just isn't worth it.

Again though if you live in Cork you don't have the luxury of choice alot of times, it's that there's literally no other airlines flying to where you want to go. We have aerlingus but they don't do all the same routes as Ryanair. For example the trip I have coming up to Italy, Ryanair are the only ones who fly to Italy direct from Cork, If I wanted to go with aerlingus we'd have to drive to Dublin first which is a bigger pain in the arse than flying with Ryanair

Vanessa 09-08-2018 09:43 AM

Ryanair is the only flight that goes to my home town, so i have no choice. But it's horrendous and getting worse. :bawling:

Cherie 09-08-2018 11:13 AM

I never have any issues flying with them, maybe I am more relaxed :smug: I have no time for people with kids moaning about not sitting together...pay up.... I have been on flights where families get on last then start arguing with the staff about not being seated together did you not check your boarding pass, then the staff try to get other people to move to accomodate the morons! and as for boarding....clearly stating on the boarding card to board via the rear steps and they all queue up at the front  and only when someone breaks ranks and heads to the back do they start to follow...

also I respect RA policy on baggage, its not really fair if there is a policy and only some adhere to it and others try to get on with bags that would see them through to next year they are so bit :nono:

They won't be operating because they treat their staff like s**t not because customers complain though

I have never seen one person buy them, I don't know why they bother, I don't know why stuff like that bothers people its not like people are forced to buy anything, same with the food, what did you think it was going to taste like or cost....! People moan about everything it's worse when airlines have a staff member holding a bucket on the way out for a childrens charity as I have seen in the past

Niamh. 09-08-2018 11:31 AM

I have to say though I quite like their food :skull:

Cherie 09-08-2018 11:31 AM

The problem is people associate flying with luxury, it is a no frills airline you pay your money, you take your choice, as long as their safety record remains impeccable I don't have an issue ...

I don't associate flying with luxury at all, I wish I did and was one of those people who can afford first class :p I used to defend Ryanair like you for the same reasons but I think they've just gone too far lately

I remember the days when Aer Lingus were the only way to get to Ireland by air... 400.00 roundtrip! I will sit on the wing if it costs 70.00  I think for people living outside Ireland they have been a lifeline, when my Mum was ill I was going backwards and forwards every month or so and they were a Godsend, sometimes I got there and back for 40.00

Cherie 09-08-2018 11:42 AM

Going to have to break the bank and get a panini next time...I usually have my head buried in my book when they coming around asking for hot food orders

Vanessa 09-08-2018 11:43 AM

Sometimes I go to Rome and use Alitalia. Flights leave from London and i don't have to go to Stansted. But from rome to Pescara is about thee hours by bus.

Hopefully, as far as I know most strikes so far have been Fri/Sat so hopefully they will stick with that :hehe:
