I hope Amazon Prime accepts me as their customer.

Yep! The best thing is, Picard and Data still seem like Picard and Data, unlike a certain Skywalker did... lol. Seven seems a lot more human, which makes a lot of sense

Scarlett. 20-07-2019 08:40 PM

Spotted in that prison scene...

The girl fighting. Data's daughter Lal?

Calderyon 20-07-2019 08:57 PM

Only watched a very few episodes of Voyager so it's no wonder i didn't recognize her.

I think she might be connected to the Borg somehow, she does kinda resemble Lal a bit though.

Seven came into Voyager in S3 I think

Scarlett. 20-07-2019 09:05 PM

Interesting, Hugh from the episode "I, Borg" is also returning

Yeah I though she was Borg related, like an infiltrator.

I didn't really realise watching the trailer that the blonde woman was Seven of Nine.

'Data' must be B4 from Nemesis.

The remains seen earlier in the trailer could be Data though, you can see some burn marks. I reckon we will see actual Data at some point, rebuilt.

James 20-07-2019 10:32 PM

Not sure there would be much left of him.

Scarlett. 20-07-2019 11:16 PM

Hmm true, not sure why they'd disassemble B4 though.

I just noticed those are Borg alcoves, and the guards are Romulans

ooh love all this new information

btw my dad will be delighted to see Seven again, since she's his favourite character from Voyager :amazed:

Looks like it, seems they have a facility in that Borg Cube. It was hinted that the Nerada from Star Trek '09 was equipped with Borg tech, which the Federation got a hold of, an accelerated their progress in the Kelvin timeline.

Scarlett. 21-07-2019 11:12 AM

According to Brent Spiner, the Android in the drawer is B4

James 21-07-2019 07:57 PM

It's a while since I saw Nemesis but I remember B4 was starting to act like Data at the end, or Data transferred some of his memories (film was basically a Wrath of Khan remake) so maybe he will be more like Data now.

Oliver_W 28-07-2019 03:13 PM

It doesn't really look very Star Trekky, it just looks like more of "Star Trek" Discovery ...

Also, I hate to be That Guy(tm) but I kind of rolled my eyes at the "she's the key to all this!!" stuff before we saw some girl doing martial arts. Is there some kind of directive where white guys aren't allowed to be the focus in their own series?

Calderyon 28-07-2019 03:33 PM

Now that it's been pointed out, Data's face looks quite odd.

Yeah, the girl doing hand-to-hand combat is very much a 2010s blockbuster movie trope.

Star Trek isn't really about that kind of action. The JJ-verse films didn't understand that.

Once of the most iconic scenes in TOS is Kirk fighting the Gorn  TNG had plenty of fight scenes... they just weren't well choreographed

I imagine the reason why Picard isn't fist fighting is because Patrick Stewart is 79  not because of his gender or race
