What like - it stinks ! Rancid behaviour does tend to stink.

Epic. 10-11-2018 10:25 PM

Ryan only won CBB because of Roxy singlehandedly giving him that sympathy edit, the win was done by HER. We love the CBB version of Charlie Doherty's win?

montblanc 10-11-2018 10:28 PM

This such a NASTY thing to say! There is no correlation between mental wellbeing and having good taste in housemates!

dddd most of us don’t even like her as a person. But there’s no denying what she brought as a housemate. Completely unprecedented and made for one of, if not the best, story arc big brother has ever seen!

Yeah but if she was male you'd all ****ing despise her and brand her the worst housemate ever.

It's hard to argue that given there's no male housemate anywhere near comparable to Roxanne

I suppose not but I've been here long enough to know that having a vagina makes you a better housemate regardless of actions.

If Bear did exactly the same as Roxy, this forum would still despise him.

Liam- 11-11-2018 04:15 PM

Tibb loves a vagina

If Bear was still Bear, doing what did he did in CBB18 and did the exact same as Roxy, I would, and as would many others, despise him. Even if what Bear did caused the mass controversy, story, and interactions Roxanne did, Bear's actions towards others still remain, and would leave a sour taste

To better illustrate my point, I can't imagine Helen's haters (me included) would even change opinion on her if she did what Roxanne did

One of the reasons I, among others, liked Roxanne is because before the incident, in the house she came off as very inoffensive. Neither Helen or Bear were that

Yeah I suppose. I did love her, and want her to win, but there was always something off and fake about her, and because of the divisive opinion of her pre-event I wouldn't exactly say inoffensive.

Elliot 11-11-2018 04:32 PM

Bear was not only a ****ty person but also a boring ****ty housemate and everything that season was contrived crap compared to punchgate

I mean, it's a given that all women will have supporters behind them. No housemate is gonna be unanimously hated. But the same applies to men, there's not gonna be a male housemate on here everyone dislikes

I don't get what your point is?

I thought the division was due to how Roxanne came off as 'fake' and playing up to the cameras?

By inoffensive I mean she was liked because she wasn't malicious or set out to upset anyone (did she even upset anyone pre-event?)

Not really, there was minorquestion over her outside boyfriend and her flirtmance with Ben in and out of the house,

I can sorta appreciate your point in that women are generally more favoured (your faves list is mostly female for instance) but I can never fully appreciate it because there will never be two housemates identical in every aspect bar sex/gender

Elliot 11-11-2018 04:40 PM

Also isn’t Helen direct proof of the contrary of what’s being claimed in this thread? Even a few people claiming this are Helen fans oop

To be fair though, Roxanne never really 'flirted' with Ben. She never led him on and she was clearly taken aback and not comfortable when he kissed her

I can't think of an instance in whichshe did something intentional (heck, even unintentional) to flirt with Ben

She does, but so do male housemates that, while not the same, are somewhat comparable

Marc is joint favourite of BB16 with 13.9% forum faves and Bear also has support with 13% of the faves. Helen has around 15% of forum faves

In fact, many supporters of Helen will support Bear and vice versa

Yeah most people I’ve seen that support Helen ALSO support bear, and in general those types of housemate.

Ant. 11-11-2018 04:55 PM

It's hard to gauge how much housemates are liked and disliked and Helen and Marc are only somewhat comparable, but the fact Marc has 60+ fanclub members, which is twenty more than Helen Wood's 44, it kind of implies that gender/sex isn't a factor

There's very few that like one but not the other, and even in such case, there's differences between the two of them which would warrant someone to like one and dislike the other - whether that be someone liking Bear but not Helen or vice versa

Ant. 11-11-2018 05:04 PM

Like if there's one thing I'll admit is that women are generally preferred on this forum and I can appreciate that some of these women stanned are loud and outspoken while some men are condemned for it, but on that note it's sorta hard to argue that the difference is solely due to sex. Farrah is outspoken yet is disliked by the majority of the forum (and I only inherently disliked her due to her going up against Farrah - I'm sure this logic can apply to why some people don't like some men - because they go against their favourites). In fact most recently Lewis was outspoken yet was also polarising, although I'd argue he borders more on being favoured by most (and even if he isn't now, there was a time when nearly the entire forum, me included, supported him - and even back then he was arguing with forum fave Anamelia)
