Just like Roxanne deserving to win more than Ryan. |
threads like this are a symptom of the trend to see everything in terms of entertainment (in the form of drama in this case).
accepted thing when talking about fiction (a villain in film etc) but now freely extended to reality tv uncomfortable imo, bc we're talking about real people Roxanne created a lot of drama and suspense, but her problems are real, she's not a character written, acted and discarded, there's a real tragedy of a disturbed mind behind her "entertainment" the same with Ryan, ok, a pillock, but a pillock who could have been ruined and it's not just tv, it happens closer to home, on the forum for example a delusional fm claiming to be god is seen as a scream, entertainment, value for money where do we draw a line? do we draw it at all? would a murder in bb house be also seen as entertainment? how about a fm attempting suicide online? tbh, with this line of thinking, Idk anymore  |
Err, no.

There's nothing funny or entertaining about a spiteful compulsive liar trying to break & destroy another person . Also if she has mental issues then that makes it even worse if her actions are seen as "good tv" . I know people get drawn into car crash tv and crazy individuals & game players as it get's high rating and get's people interested . But this is beyond that when you get someone who is such a disturbed scheming mess . And it usually seems like the more delusional & unstable someone acts it gets more attention. People like to feed into that for whatever reason whether it gives them a good laugh or they find it amusing or fascinating . Also they probably like trying to figure out if the person is being serious or whether it's one big trolling stunt. We have definitely got to the stage where reality tv & it's cast members are treated like they're in a drama /soap. Even with how things are recorded and edited it can be seen like a fictional show . Maybe people get so caught up as viewers in the whole controversy and going ons on their screens that they forget that this is REAL LIFE with producers pulling the strings . it's not the same as a scripted sitcom and liking Chandler from friends & disliking Janice from friends as they're both fictional characters. I find it very questionable & baffling if Roxanne still has fans & support , but they'll always be some who will agree with her or feel sorry for her . Must be a very small fraction though. Looks like hunger games & battle royale isn't so crazy as the line in real life keeps getting pushed further & further in the name of "entertainment". |
People are acting like it’s only now the entertainment line is getting blurred when there are multiple examples in history of stuff far more barbaric than this, even people killing eachother

I worry about the sanity of people on here sometimes, seriously. :nono:

As for Roxy's accent.
It's the typical regular accent mixed in with pretentious actor voice. Not that she's any good at acting. She was wooden in Emmerdale and very stilted in BB which made her a big fat fake the second she stepped out of that car. |
No never
