On thread topic... she should stay until Brexit is resolved one way or another, but then I don't think there's much choice but for her to resign.
|
I feel bad for Theresa, no matter who took on that job it would have ended badly imo

id say she should leave but idk if the other options are any better? dont think anyone would be mad if she left most would understand
|
If keeping May means we keep Mogg out of number 10 then let her dance on.
|
She won't go unless she is pushed, Gove is putting up a good fight for her job when she does exit the building though
|
I've said for months that there needs to be a consensus in parliament for any progress to be made, and there isn't another Tory MP capable of getting a consensus better than May. There is zero benefit in May standing down now and she will be gone soon enough anyway
|
She should never have been in office in the first place
She was a divisive and atrocious Home Secretary, and she is for me, the worst ever person to hold the office of PM ever. Her own party would dump her tomorrow if anyone really wanted to take the role on at this moment in time. She's got swivelling cowards around her, wanting her job but only once something is eventually sorted as to brexit. Brexit, the thing she has made an absolute mess off due to her own difficult to deal with personality. She should resign and in doing so, do something decent for once in her political career. |

However I do think what bots says above is true; there's no point in her resigning until it's finished, it wouldn't make any difference, she might as well finish this mess and then go. |
She should remain in office. She's shown more tenacity and guts than any of the men in her cabinet. Don't agree with everything she says and does but I do admire her as a woman and as a politician.
If she doesn't remain in office, we have a real chance of getting Corbyn. Does anyone want that? Really? |

We agree about Corbyn. We have to have a strong opposition to stand up to the government, but he's really divided people. While I admire May's tenacity, I think if there was a general election tomorrow I'd have to write "none of the above" on my ballot paper. |
I dislike so much about all the current political parties. It's a very dangerous situation though because if an election happens in the near future, its like someone disastrous on a whole new level could get in. This is a situation that is repeating itself all over the world, not just here or in America and it's social media that has facilitated it.

but we are where we are She will step down after Brexit. Conservatives have a internal election so now she does not have to resign |

Yes it was a Conservative Democratic Election. Before the Next Election she has confirmed she will step down. Any could take her place |

She has fuelled the division from the referendum, not done a thing to reverse it. I have never liked Theresa May even in my pre Labour days. I'd rather a different leader than Corbyn too. Both are sadly too stubborn but he is not the one in government. She is. Her endless procrastination is infuriating too. A new referendum, I think with 3 questions would likely not get any majority. Neither would a general election. I'd guess Labour or the Conservatives would just be the largest party. This has become an almighty mess of her own making. She took control of it, she has had 3 brexit Ministers in just over two and a half years. Culminating in over 100 of her own MPs voting against the agreement she presented, eventually after further procrastination by her. This is chaos from a chaotic Prime Minister. |
She's the best of a terrible Tory bunch and I'd rather have her in charge than Gove or Moggs.
