He did GB2?

He claimed he wasn't interested in returning full stop.

Probably a few extra zeros on the cheque.

More than likely. Money talks!

Plus people change their minds about things. Maybe he just mulled it over and came to a different conclusion.

I liked the first trailer. Will like it more when the original cast hopefully appear in the next ones.

It seems like Finch Wolfman has found his niche as "80s nostalgia kid"

If he doesn't actually like the 80s, he must be hating his life right now :joker:

Eh, I thought it was crap, and that had nothing to do with misogyny. I just thought it was loud and annoying. To disregard all dislike for the film as being misogynist is a bit closed minded tbh. Sure, some of it was, but I don't think it's the majority.

The main character of this film seems to be a little girl, her black girl friend, a single mother ... along with Stranger Things and Paul Rudd. It's still getting a good reaction.

Woman-starring films like Hustlers, Bridesmaids, and The Heat don't get hate, because they're not awful.

So is it a problem with "geek culture"? Alien movies, Terminator movies, Resident Evil movies, Hunger Games movies, Lucy, Golden Compass .... none of these get hate. Alice from RE is a literal Mary Sue, and the movies are nothing like the games! No-one hates Princess Leia, Padme, Hermione, or says that Janine ruins Ghostbusters.

You know the resident evil movie do get hate for Alice.

2b frr, in that case it’s mainly because she’s a random superhero shoehorned into the franchise for no real reason, not because she’s female.

Geek culture, sadly, is very misogynistic, just look at gaming, for example.

I agree that there was misogyny in the hate for that film - but I have to take a robust stance against Ghostbusters 2 being given a 6/10. It is an absolute classic. It's ridiculous, but that's the charm.

ISS VIIIGO!!

Trailer was fine.

Still waiting for the original 3 to show up even though they probably want to save that for the movie itself.

I'm delighted they are completing ignoring that last attempt at a movie, it was embarrassing

I'd recommend the video game from 2009 - remastered in 2019.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ame_front2.jpg

It is written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, and the original cast do the voices. The gameplay is okay, but it really feels like the original, and that put a smile on my face when I played it first.

I don't know what you're talking about, there's only been one Ghostbusters movie and that was in the eighties :hehe:

There are also only two Terminators, six Star Wars, two Alien movies ...

I swear the only "old returning franchise" that actually continues to be good is Jurassic World :joker:

I just watched this. It's alright.

Yes, it was on SkyMoviesHD

Sadly, it's a kids film
with the old ones returning at the end.

It lacked something new
