No we aren't at all sorry.

Just as here in our electoral system more Americans voted against Trump than for him.
However their system gave him the Presidency.

I have family and friends in the USA and have nothing against the American people whatsoever.

I don't have to like their leaders however.
I don't even like our own UK current Party leaders, except for Caroline Lucas,( I know she isn't now Party leader but still ought to be I think), and Nicola Sturgeon.

Doesn't mean in any shape or form, I'm insulting any of the citizens of the 4 nations of the United Kingdom.
Because I haven't an ounce of respect for Trump doesn't either mean I'm insulting any other American other than him.

Frankly if he felt insulted by me for any reason, for me that would be a job well done on my part.

Ah Corbyn, the number 1 method for Brexiters, right wingers/tories of desperately trying to distract themselves from how much they've ****ed **** up.

It seems like the only tears are coming from the Trump fans that are tearing their hair out over this tbh.

It was an alcoholic beverage, otherwise no one would have given a toss. She breaks the rules. Like when she told everyone their kids had to go to state schools because it was the right thing.... then sent her own kid to private school.

Corbyn and Abbott lead the shadow cabinet. Don't you think people are going to be a tiny bit interested in what they do? Corbyn has sat down with all kinds of odious, murderous terrorists... but he draws the line at Trump?

I approve of stories like this because it reminds real Labour voters what is happening.

Yeah, even a tiny bit. Or would you like the story buried? Because we don't bury stories for the Tories when they're being ridiculous.

No but do we focus more on actual issues or overexaggerate a minor rulebreak and which rich dude they choose to dine with?

Of course both are going to hit the news. But the way in which they do are laughable to me.

In the US, the teacher of the year traditionally meets with the president. The last 3 winners (all white folks) have all met with Trump, but this year, a black man won and Trump has refused to meet with him, but he sucks up to Putin and KJU instead.

The problem with little vids like this, is that don't really mean anything and provide evidence of even less. There's probably not a politician alive that couldn't have one of these made about them.

I don't know what you mean, Marshy. We're on a discussion forum. People focus on the strangest stuff. To be honest, the drinking on the train thing, I've only encountered a discussion about it on here. Didn't even see it in the paper, didn't hear about it on telly. But I give you your due, you've spent an inordinate amount of time trying to justify Abbott.

And of course people are going to draw comparisons about who Corbyn will and won't dine with. That he'll sit down with the leader of Communist China, with all its Human Rights abuses, but he won't sit down with Trump.

Imagining people aren't going to discuss that, well, that's laughable.

Well my comment was aimed at the media coverage rather than TiBB discussion.

And also references to the "American people" who by and large wouldn't know who Corbyn is if they fell over him.
