By the same token Ammi, there are plenty of people on this forum who bang on daily about how rubbish this country is, and how everything's messed up, how English culture is meaningless... etc. etc. . They would still think themselves objective though.

....eeeek I’m just going to stick with John Cleese..:laugh:...my thoughts are that he’s not very objective and although I've likes his comedy...?..I’ve always found him generally a moaner and very negative...(...quite bad tempered actually, a bit Basil Fawlty..)...

I see him as a bit of a Basil too. I'm a huge fan but I bet he's bloody insufferable in real life.

I never said they were unobjective, only that, if Cleese is, then everyone who criticises is.

I left the decision whether they all are, or whether none of them are, up to you.

I think it was mainly him. He's not my favourite Python though. It's all the others, and then him.

It's easy to assume twitter is all one young generation. I did too. You'd be surprised at the large mix of ages. Middle aged and older people are on it too. :thumbs:

I don't know why it bothers people so much as most are happy to run GB down about various things they think is wrong about it, so you'de think he'de be being cheered, funny old lot the Brits. Personally I think it's one of the best countries to live in, but we are little too soft.
