Come to think of it it is a bit strange that we have so many Polish shops in every town but never any Polish restaurants or takeaways

I like going to Polish shops sometimes for their smoked meat snacks but I'm not aware of many great Polish recipes

I think its because when Poles arrive they take jobs in jobs away from food - their skills lie in other areas



They get better paid elsewhere

I’m not sure about elsewhere but Cardiff and Bristol do. I imagine London and Manchester will too.

Liverpool has literally one or two.

To be fair, I can’t imagine most people seek out Polish restaurants. That’s the whole point of this thread. It might sound funny or mildly xenophobic to some but it’s just the truth. Most people don’t go out for Polish on a Friday night. Let’s be real.

It's not that I "wouldn't dare" - I wouldn't, but it's nothing to do with being daring :laugh: it's just that no Polish food I've seen looks remotely appetising to me :laugh:
