I have to say when I was walking out of the school today it definitely felt like I wasnt ever going back. There was an odd atmosphere to it too, it was all still there was noone around and it felt really strange. I finally accepted things arent going to be the same for a long long time if ever again

Congratulations.. nice to hear a good news story especially one with a brand new little life ..

Very awkward for me as I'd just finished working at my last place and was meant to be starting somewhere else next week but that's been put on hold until this is all over... Really not sure where to go from here :skull:

:fc: you get something or because they have already laid you off no?

I might do online tutoring or something, I get bored enough during the hols, and there's a definite end in sight with those...

That's not too bad I guess, and if the job you were going to holds it

The working time directive for the drivers has just been relaxed so stock is able to get to stores. Not sure I agree with that myself as they do need their rest days. I hope it doesn't lead to more accidents on the roads :/

Literally the same.

We’re capping the stock being sent out to store to keep it in line with normal numbers as the stores were ordering crazy amounts of stock to keep up.

It's a nice time to be home, too. I was fantastically unemployed when my first was born, I started work about 8 weeks after she was born. Money was tight but honestly I wouldn't have traded that time for anything .

I prefer a light-hearted comedy when I'm "working" from home.

Not 100% sure, hopefully now this has come out we'll get the pay from the Government, we're still employed by the company, so we should

Busier than I've ever known. We have a few carers off on self isolation and patients are wanting more care as they don't want to risk giving a family member a virus.

I've literally worked 6am till 9pm almost every day, tomorrow is my first day off in 11 days. I do get hours off between calls but it hasn't felt like enough with the work load.

Do you get paid per call

LemonJam 20-03-2020 11:12 PM

My work is a bit quiet so I'm expecting some reduced hours, but at least my onlyfans is paying off!

You enjoy your day off, get plenty of rest. You're doing an admirable thing x

Had about 20 ***** message me asking if the country is going on lockdown, presumably because I’m a squaddie and they expect me to know something they don’t.

Let me make it clear; if they’re planning some kind of massive deployment of troops in the near future and they’re keeping it on the lowdown, the last **** they’re gonna tell is LCpl Ryan the ******** REMF from Leeds who’s on leave scratching his bollocks and eating crisps.

At the very most, some blokes might get called in to help deliver food to supermarkets and make sure old people in rural areas aren’t dying. MAYBE. But if you think theres gonna be blokes patrolling the streets in full CBRN rig, booting ***** in for being out past curfew, you’re absolutely ****ed in the head.

What if we get civil unrest or riots or looting .. it’s all possible I think ..

Effects of the Coronavirus on your job?

It’s a crazy mix of events really .. some are gonna be paid (up to £30,000 ) to stay at home , some are just losing their jobs /income full stop .

The education staff aren’t coming out of this at all well .. they have incredibly stressful jobs but get normally decent breaks in between .

Now as of Monday they’re expected to carry on in work ( fewer pupils but those pupils are not gonna be happy when all their mates are having a jolly at home ) .
They’ve also had their Easter holidays cancelled as well .. that’s disastrous when you’ve been working towards a two week break.

I can’t even imagine what the hospital staff are going through ..
