You can still self isolate though...

i heard it was about a 5% overhead and you can disengage the tracking too when you don't want it on

That doesn't sound bad.

I might use it to see if I get contacted.

This idea you'll continually be getting told to isolate isn't very likely, the chances of you having had prolonged contact with a positive covid case is still very low. I mean I must have given my details numerous times to different establishments since pubs and restaurants reopened and I'm yet to have a phone call :pipe2:

Well it would because if you are told to stay home, that’s when you want to go out

Also if I go out to a restaurant/bar I would give my details at any rate

LaLaLand 28-09-2020 11:15 PM

Yeah got it today.

I have to scan in when I go for a tattoo in a couple of weeks I found out today so downloaded it ready before I forgot.

Glenn. 29-09-2020 05:00 AM

Yeah I have downloaded it.

the App in Germany works perfectly and very handy to see who the infected person has been in contact with, how they can isolate, quarantine a lot more efficiently

was on german show Extra last night

Nicky91 29-09-2020 08:56 AM

what i mean to say is, maybe this can be same in UK with the app, better tracing system leading to lesser cases, that you can quarantine the right people, rather than overlooking someone who might've been in contact with someone infected

Yes, we're known for our efficiency and great organisational skills in the UK. Famous for it. "Good old English efficiency!", they say.

if you think of UK as having a **** government and outbreak management team

look at our dutch hellhole of a government, RIVM and OMT :umm2:

i mean here they are too stuck up to not listen to america's Dr Fauci

and mentioning the ''norwegian research'' a million times (whatever that may be lol)

bots 29-09-2020 10:38 AM

all the apps do the same thing throughout the world, so efficiency doesn't enter into it.

If I were out and about meeting people for > 10 mins at a time, i would download the app in a heartbeat ... but i'm not, so the app just isn't useful for me

Strange all I've heard about recently is how the government has failed in giving us a track and trace system but apparently people don't actually want one

Oh I want it...my boss probably won't.
Can you imagine, I work in the gatehouse of a busy distribution centre, around 400 vehicles a day pass through.
So say me and the other 2/3 guards who work there get a text.
How do the vehicles get booked on/ off site?

LaLaLand 29-09-2020 04:58 PM
