presentation of the 2022 cars

James 16-07-2021 05:03 PM

I'm watching the first Formula 1 action live in ages.

This is the only race we get a season on free TV.

James 18-07-2021 12:40 PM

I quite liked the sprint qualifying yesterday.

Should be interesting ... for the first 10 minutes or so :)

I’ll watch if Max is winning but if Lewis has gone off into the distance I’ll be swapping channels pronto .

Does this track suit Hamilton’s car better than the Red Bull one .,

Anyone know ??

It’s obviously on Channel 4 HD and what a difference !!

yes, definitely more exciting for the public

F2 definitely also quite a lot of new huge talent too

Women's F1 also quite good quality, one of those women competing there and the reigning champion of theirs, Jamie Chadwick is a development driver at Williams F1 as well

Zizu 18-07-2021 02:11 PM

I maybe completely biased here but that looked as though Hamilton clearly shunted MaxV into the barrier there ??

Max looks hurt as well , sadly

Just shows what happens when the other drivers get a competitive car .. Hamilton doesn’t automatically win !

No Verstappen now has the "best" car and he is automatically winning instead (minus today's race) all of the best Drivers have won in great Cars, plus teams like Mercedes and Red Bull aren't gonna have average or **** drivers race in their cars because it'd be brand damage.

Imo Hamilton and Verstappen are strong drivers.

I’d like to see all their stats in one car for comparison

Hamilton is a fantastic driver, Bottas has the same car as him remember but he can't even compete with him

Zizu 18-07-2021 10:36 PM

I’m gutted for Max ... may not be fit to drive in a fortnight :(

51 G force impact on his leg doesn’t sound great .

Also annoyed how we were robbed off possibly one of the greatest F1 races ever because of Hamilton’s recklessness .

That was easily one of the best opening laps I’ve seen in years .

Can’t believe Hamilton has got away with quite literally shunting his main opponent off the track into the wall at 200mph.

Nicky91 19-07-2021 08:11 AM

disgusting cheater Hamilton, you can't win playing fair, so you have to push your competition off the track :notimpressed:

and the stupid corrupt FIA also just defends him

waiting for the day Hamilton is no longer part of Formula 1 season

for me personally not the best british driver at all

for me i very much like Lando Norris, again a very decent 4th place result, and both McLaren (4th and 5th) 22 points addition for the team standings, and Lando into 3rd position in championship standings now

Mick Schumacher kinda disappointing but not too much, since Haas hasn't got good cars (yet)

Williams again avoiding the last places :clap1:

another top 10 for Alonso

so despite smug crybaby Hamilton, i do enjoy watching F1 again compared to other recent years

Verstappen attacks 'unsporting' Hamilton after British GP crash

Max Verstappen hit out at Lewis Hamilton for ‘unsportsmanlike behaviour’ after the seven-times world champion celebrated winning a tempestuous British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Verstappen’s race ended on the first lap when Hamilton’s Mercedes made contact with his rear wheel as the British driver tried to force his way through at Copse corner.

Verstappen walked away from the incident but watched the later stages of the race from hospital in Coventry as he was checked over following the collision.

The Dutchman was in no mood for reconciliation after he watched Hamilton snatch victory from Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari with two laps to go, overcoming a 10-second penalty imposed for causing the first-lap crash.

‘Watching the celebrations while still in hospital is disrespectful and unsportsmanlike behaviour but we move on,’ said Verstappen, who also complained that Hamilton’s penalty was insufficient.

Christian Horner, Red Bull’s team manager, was scathing in his assessment of Hamilton, accusing him of a ‘desperate’ move and ‘dirty driving’.

‘Lewis has stuck a wheel up the inside of one of the fastest corners on this world championship. He’s driven this circuit for years; you know you don’t do that here,’ he told Formula1.com.

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/a...jSVc4xDbi.html

‘The result – thank God we haven’t had a driver that’s been seriously injured or worse today.’

Hamilton described his rival as an ‘incredible competitor’ as he paid tribute to his team later on Twitter.

hypocrite Hamilton with that fake tweet (which i am not going to post)

Nicky91 19-07-2021 08:39 AM

the evidence, anyone can see, that was Max's corner, Hamilton was to blame for this crash and Hamilton should've been black flagged, dq'd out of the race but of course FIA won't do that to the smug crybaby bitch

no, more pathetic that Hamilton can only win when cheating with dirty moves like that

also i fully understand Bottas either for not renewing contract at Mercedes, since everytime he's told to move out of the way for Hamilton, i mean why, why do they need to feed that loser's ego so much

Bottas at Alfa Romeo as replacement for Kimi would be nice, hope Alfa Romeo also can somehow improve to a better car, they do deserve that

Yeah ... in one of the after race interviews he looked very surprised to learn that Max was in hospital - I would have expected him to have asked about MV immediately after the race or his team should have warned him about the situation before he faced all the cameras for the various interviews

well he more was pissed i guess he didn't have that extra point for fastest lap, that point got to no one since Max's team mate Perez got fastest lap outside of the top 10 :laugh2: karma is a bitch he didn't get those 26 points but 25, clever thinking from Horner for tactically bringing Perez in few laps before the end to do this :clap1:

That was before yesterday ...

Max has his dad’s volatile temper / personally apparently..

Pretty sure we will see an even more aggressive MaxV from now on ..

After all if he shunts off Hamilton he will only get a ten second penalty :)

He can be Uber aggressive now ( especially after yesterday’s close encounter) .

Hammer time leading the championships

Mystic Mock 01-08-2021 09:10 PM

Hamilton did really well today to come from last place to third.

Ocon did really well obviously, as did Vettel & Alonso.

I wonder who Verstappen and Red Bull are gonna blame for their failure this time?

I'm sorry but Verstappen's a hypocrite imo.

It's okay for him to take drivers off the track, but as soon as he gets a taste of his own medicine he whines the place down along with Red Bull.

Imo Verstappen is a sore loser and unsportsmanlike, and he lost to George Russell who's in a Williams Car, that's a poor performance no matter the circumstances imo.

In fairness though Bottas or Mercedes (whoever's at fault) shouldn't be having a Car (or using the Car if it's Bottas's fault) that's taking multiple drivers off the track as it is really irresponsible.

You can’t compare Max to George Russell today !

You do realise that Verstappen’s car was beggared after he got broadsided !?!

They fixed it up as best as they could in 20 minutes but it was still a mess . They said afterwards that it would be a least a second a lap slower than any other car ..
