You don't have to comment on other threads to make your opinion in this thread valid, not seeing or responding to certain threads doesn't make the fact that a cavalier attitude (and in some cases, denial of the nature of this attack) any less tasteless. It's not a competition, stop trying to make it so by comparing the two incidents and keeping note of who posts in different threads like it somehow diminishes what they have to say, because it doesn't. It's just an incredibly lazy way of trying to bat aside views you don't like.

the nature of this attack has not been confirmed?

is so then a link would be great

You are not disagreeing though you are more or less judging levels of empathy, we read about horrifying events every day, some create more of a reaction than others it doesn’t mean that he didn’t die a horrendous death either by his own hand or something more sinister, pointing out people should have more empathy isn’t going to make it happen

That's exactly what you did though by bringing up another thread that had not been commented on and even stating how many views it had had.

I find people saying its fake news is ****ty.....but I won't comment again, its not worth it

I brought up another thread as an example that horrific events can be completely ignored, it’s not confined to this case

I’m a bit confused by the reports on it, just read that a disgruntled neighbour set him alight, but in the same article that he had been brought to suicide so it’s unclear

This forum is so messed up.

People getting attacked for posting sympathy for a man who was set alight and killed. Look at yourselves.

This. Sadly not surprised.

Absolutely heartbreaking story.

It did not happen. It's a shut down

As isxa lot of posts that don't accept that this is at the moment allegation

The narrative is it's a fact and I'm sure that is correct but it's an allegation

And to pretend otherwise is one very, very slippery slope

Still the thread title is wrong

Nothing has been done about it

Make of that what you will...

I know discrimination happens here but I’d like to think the police would do a full investigation still. Makes me feel so lucky to live here. RIP

Yeah. I'm not planning on changing the thread title.
