Admittedly her performances since haven't lived up to her US Open performance though. |

What people don't realise is she has been suffering with a lot of injuries that has halted her career after the US open, she didn't have the same rise most players get in the early years as she was thrown straight into it when she won the Open where most bubble away under the surface for a few years till they hit their 20s before making strides in big tournaments

Crazy how she went from very knowledgable and powerful people predicting that she was gonna be the highest earner in sporting history to basically losing on a consistent basis to nobodies ...
She’s only young though .. hopefully she gets the right coach to get the best out of her Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
She does come across as a random winner…but she is so young and has so much potential.
|
Man people are nasty. Idgi, in my lifetime we've basically had zero successful female tennis players - we finally have one win a grand slam (and a player who's very charming and likeable) and it seems like loads of people revel in every defeat she's had since
It was literally only one year ago she had a ranking in the 300s |

Sadly some people do have unrealistic expectations of athletes, admittedly I do think that Raducanu is a little too chilled out for my liking considering she's meant to be in a competition to win, but if she doesn't win because she's just not good enough then it's not the end of the world. |

yet another thread where Nicky ridicules women
|
:umm2: No
i'm more targetting the media hype around her though i do see potential in her, but she needs to continue working real hard, and she also needs to workout more in the gym, to create more muscle strength, which is necessary for the long rally's if you want to do well in those and i'd say start taking part in doubles to also gain extra experience there for your own game ---------------------- although she isn't my main favourite currently that is Jessica Pegula, most consistent player of this year currently next to Iga Swiatek basically, hiring David Witt (Venus's former coach) was best thing she ever did i think Simona Halep has Serena's former coach Patrick Mouratoglou as her newest coach, he's basically the dream coach in both men's and women's tennis |
her slam win wasn't random, she played amazingly well there, and those were two deserving finalists, two HUGE rising stars Emma and Leylah
and btw if you are offended by this quite neutral thread compared to thousands of hate threads she receives on tennisforum british media really love jinxing their stars with too much hype  |
She is already much more successful than you will ever be Nicky, so who is the flop?

Nicky has returned the thread back to debates
I think Flop was fine after she failed to that far better French Number 4 in the World who thrashed her. It is nice of Nicky to do this thread He can change the title And I can post the Truths https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2022/06...6521581607.jpg Get more fit Emma, |
well not much of a flop as the hype will continue to go on, at least until the US Open
with her hitting the top 10 now, thanks to Pliskova dropping many places losing lots and lots of points of wimbledon |
|
good prep currently for Emma en route to US Open
two easy round 1 and round 2 wins respectively over Serena Williams and Viktoria Azarenka |
i still like her
despite her R1 exit at USO and a R2 exit last week in Portoroz she's still very young, we need to give her a break, and don't have too enormous expectations tomorrow she'll play her R1 match in Korea Open btw :) against japanese Uchijima |
Her recent performances have been a disgrace, she should no longer be representing Britain until she can pull herself together.
|
She doesn't seem to be handling the pressure very well at the moment.
|
It’s crazy to think that straight after that fabulous win in the States many in the business were saying she could go onto being there biggest ever earner in sport ..such was her apparent earning potential THEN !!!!
