There's been a guy local to me who has been missing for 4 weeks, he left home for a walk and never returned. They found his phone and half a bottlenof whiskey on the canal bank and he just disappeared. The police and divers have searched the canal.....no sign. I have a lot of mutual friends with his wife and she is beyond devastated....she knew of no problems and didn't think he was suffering with his mental health. He's just gone.

The family of this lady must be in bits...desperate for news but also not wanting bad news.

said at the Time she was on that walk
it would have been busy
with loads of walkers?

Something is so wrong

Police Still saying "Missing Person"

That just so wrong.

Her Parents fear she was taken away
by someone.

bots 01-02-2023 04:19 PM

why is that wrong Arista? If there is no evidence of a struggle and no body they can't make the assumption yet that she is dead

is out of character and revealed they asked police
if 'there is any chance' she has been abducted.]

Someone may have taken her.

There is no evidence of that though so she will remain a missing person until there is evidence to the contrary.

In saying that I wouldn’t advise any female to go walking /jogging alone in sparsely populated areas these days

Well to be fair if it was foggy it would be spooky ...in normal daylight probably fine

No
it is now getting to 7 days tomorrow.

Her Phone Left
Still on a Call to work
Her Dog Left to run around

Someone took her
maybe he had a weapon, in my view

arista 02-02-2023 03:52 PM

[Lancashire Police earlier released a CCTV image of a woman
who was walking a small white dog in the area.

She had now been identified, the force said.]

If she was abducted would the dog stay put?

I was thinking that initially but the only spaniels I’ve had any time with were hyper / scatty and had no idea about their surroundings . I’m wondering if it just carried on running and sniffing around the area .

The Dog was running around

Maybe she told the dog to stay
to keep it alive

No
as if she has left the area?

But the phone left
tells me someone
may have taken her.

thesheriff443 02-02-2023 04:33 PM

She fell jumped or was pushed in the river
That’s my thoughts

Crimson Dynamo 02-02-2023 04:34 PM

must be lovely diving in a murky lake looking for a dead body

Don’t understand that at all and it’s only today they cordoned off the bench

It’s bad but they train for it, unlike my dad who found a young woman in the woods who had been murdered and sat on fire.

bots 02-02-2023 05:51 PM

there are 2 aspects to this. 1. We are still assuming the police are half way competent, and we know that's not true and 2) She is "only" a missing person at the moment, so that dictates police action

Cherie 02-02-2023 05:55 PM

I think the likelihood is she was distracted by the teams call and the dog went into the water and she fell in trying to get him out

Crimson Dynamo 02-02-2023 05:58 PM

her poor family

I originally thought that ...but something doesn't add up. Plus the dog wasn't covered in water when they found him .

The dawg was found more than an hour afterwards though, apparently

It just seems weird to me that she would fall in the water and still not be found ..... It's been a week!!!.
