Me crashing my car is "rare". In fact... I've driven it on thousands of journies. I drive it every day. I've NEVER crashed it and I've never had anyone crash into me ... that's how rare it is for me to crash my car.

Shall I stop wearing my seatbelt? I have a bad shoulder and sometimes the pressure from the seatbelt makes it hurt. Seems like I should just do away with the seatbelt. Evidence suggests it's unnecessary?

Its like saying murder is rare in some sleepy village somewhere, in fact its been the first murder in 100s of years so lets just ignore it as its not likely to happen again :umm2: Men in womens prisons in Scotland is not rare...we just didn't hear about it until Isla whats his name,

But in the process you choose to ignore the fact that just because something is "rare" doesn't mean that it should be swept aside when considering safeguarding concerns. Whether you mean it to or not, it simply comes across as not really giving a **** about women's safety in the name of "inclusivity".

By all means show me where I said it should be swept aside :conf:

I didn't say you said it should be swept aside - I said you do sweep it aside. You minimise it and brand it not important, by constantly responding with little more than "it's rare". But that defeats the entire premise of the thing you're arguing for; trans people wanting the use of women's shelters, toilets and changing areas is also relatively rare.

I don't believe that all trans people are predators.
There are bad people everywhere.
In this case it was a women's refuge, it should be women only.
Otherwise it's not safe.

Some people would argue that transwomen are women, so should be in their shelters :eyeroll:

JK Rowling opened a Woman only rape crisis center late last year in Edinburgh.

the existing Rape crisis center was being run by a biological male trans person called Mridul Wadhwa....

They should open a shelter for trans women, as that would solve the issue. It's just too much of a risk to say yes to every 'trans woman ' into a women's only shelter.

As is being pointed out, transwomen needed to be sheltered is pretty rare. Too rare to justify setting up a facility just for them.

How many people in Scotland have gender dysphoria?

It was found that about 300 transsexual people are known to be in treatment in
Scotland and the prevalence of the condition was found to be 8 / 100,000. The
Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association produces
Standards of Care for treatment of gender dysphoria.

Scottish Population is 5,520,000

But they have to do something to stop this happening again??. What's to stop an abusive ex of one of these female victims... posing as a woman, and using a different name to gain access to his victim?!.

I agree, I think it's too risky. Because some men will take advantage of it.

Exactly what I'm worried about.

Should Tyson Fury be allowed to identify as a featherweight?

What I want to know is why the trans activists cant see that fact, and agree with it. Why is it always me me me with them, or they?

Its crazy. They need to stop and reassess the plan of action, so it appeases everyone.

GoldHeart 21-04-2023 10:03 PM

Things are just going to keep getting worse.

In their opinion, "cis" women are the ones saying me-me-me for denying their fellow women a place in their spaces.
