So your research is based on about 6 women on a BB forum? As before the resurrection of BB, the forum had about 15 regular posters, with about half at best being women.

I thought so. That's really sound research right there.

I do agree with you that it's white liberals who are always presuming to speak on behalf of others and who are quick to jump to cries of 'racism!' where others are highly unlikely to see any. I don't blame you at all for immediately thinking every witchfinder here is white.

There is a reason many left the forum

Tbf you've watched way more of the series than I have, so I'll take your word for it.

It's just that particular comment does have me suspicious of I think his name is Tom?

That was a while ago, could be stereotyping, that's of course up for debate. But Trish herself didn't take issue. Only person who has brought race up in the house was Dylan, as somehow he felt Trish and Noky, and him should stick together. Like Trish said, it was pathetic and insulting. Just like this thread.

100%. Very deliberate choice of wording by them

Chanelle doesn’t do conflict but she talks **** about them behind their backs…

I notice that for a lot of viewers, housemates only suddenly become calculating and subtle when it also speaks badly of them lol. Any other time, they supposedly can't articulate themselves for toffee, but when it's in a light that speaks badly of them, suddenly they're men of letters. :joker:

Don't they all. At least chanelle has the excuse of venting her way, and her way is far better than being the loudest voice.

Beastie 05-11-2023 09:24 PM

Chanelle just comes across as sneaky.

Beastie 05-11-2023 09:24 PM

They all could be a bit racist.

Denver 05-11-2023 09:30 PM

Chanelle has more faces than the clock tower and everyone of them is miserable

I’m actually impressed that it’s taken this long for the non-existent racism accusations to come out. Sure it’s usually earlier than this from what I remember.

vesavius 05-11-2023 09:58 PM

Please don't make me defend the Gremlins.

I have seen no evidence of racism up untill now.

I would say it's more unconscious bias hence why they're treating Noky, Yinrun & Trish a certain way.

But they can't even rub their 4 brain cells together to see Paul was the issue so there's no chance in hell they'll be able to reflect on how they are acting.

Babayaro. 05-11-2023 10:55 PM

A bit of a reach, this.

Abra 06-11-2023 01:01 AM

Tom labelling Trish as "aggressive" when she was actually very calm definitely felt like a typical dogwhistle that you often see being used against black women. Kerry, Olivia, Hallie can all scream and rant and rave but when Trish points out an uncomfortable truth she's "aggressive", always a double standard for black women.

What are you talking about? I've just rewatched this scene because I thought I had missed something.

When Chanelle stormed off, she was talking to Noky. Trish was sat in complete silence, so how exactly was she "ready to shout in her face and put her down"?

I've noticed in your posts that you are often fabricating things that just didn't happen on the show. Like in that thread where you said that Will was being passive aggressive towards Hallie in her interview. I'm not sure why you keep getting so mixed up with what you are seeing but there's definitely a pattern here.

GoldHeart 06-11-2023 01:11 AM

This thread got me thinking something racist was said then. Olivia's group are just nasty twats, Chanelle was disgusting the way she stormed off and blamed Trish , Chanelle wouldn't even let Noky explain .

Can all the garden group just leave please :bored: .

the only racism I have seen is Dylan claiming the black housemates should have stuck together but that got a BIG PASS on here

bots 06-11-2023 07:11 AM

There hasn't been any racism that i have seen apart from Dylan's statement. Every interaction has been about personalities

Chanelle is a racist and a vindictive one at that. she was reminding the other housemates in her group that she forgives but doesnÂ’t forget. BB last night showed her on two occasions indirectly influencing the nominations for this week ensuring Trish is up again. SheÂ’s vile

That said they are all aware of the current climate and are being ultra cautious in what they say ..

Actions though can be more telling https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cb27094af6.png

I don't think there is any overt racisum going on in the house, but covert is another issue and if there is an element of racism, I think this describes it perfectly.

Trish's friend has mentioned racism and she has written to the producers she stated on twitter. Unless it is just creating more hype around Trish to push her to the win?

She has not. BB has always been about putting different people, from all the other country, and some times different walks of life, in what is essentially a pressure cooker. HM's are bound to clash, argue, and form groups. This is human nature.

However, as per, society is absolutely desperate to find racism in everything nowadays. What happened to not judging people on the colour of their skin? We're all equal, just because someone doesn't like a black person (who is not black themselves), it doesn't mean they're racist for christsake.

Anyway, the most important thing here to remember is that neither Trish, nor Noky has ever claimed racism in the house. Seems social media and the desperate knights in shinning amour on here and elsewhere conveniently dismiss that.

The only time race was brought up was when Dylan made that insulting black on black crime to Trish, and because she's easily the most level headed, and strongest character in the house, she shot him down immediately, and called him out on what a pathetic comment it was.

GlitterUK 08-11-2023 12:32 PM

Yeah I agree with Swan, the only other comment on it has come from Trish's friend on twitter.

There is a good deal of circumstantial evidence though

Just because none of them have openly said anything doesn’t mean they’re not racist

What's the circumstantial evidence?
