I’m personally very calm. I don’t want to wait though. I will discuss it because it’s an interesting subject and that’s why we’re here - to talk about Big Brother.

Discussion is always good .. when we know the facts ..

If they can hack into NASA and the Whitehouse I’m sure getting into someone’s Twitter account is fairly easy

Deleting the account was the most suspect thing. An apology right away would have been the best route. If it wasn't Trish that done it we would have seen something on her instagram by now surely denying things?

Ok, and if that turns out to be the case, then we can all go from there. However, based on what’s been discovered, I don’t think anyone should be trying to explain away Trish’s wrongdoing.

I think she’s clearly changed her views since she posted the tweets, but she still did it (as far as we know).

If it had just been a couple of tweets from a decade ago that's one thing, but numerous tweets over several years targeting various different groups is pretty difficult to justify. She was older than Tom is now when she posted every one of them

It’s just so odd that as soon as she made the account public after leaving the house- then suddenly all these disgraceful tweets surfaced - then she made the account PRIVATE again but didn’t delete or edit the offensive Tweets and now it’s public again .


Seems convenient that the tweets surfacing are aimed at Chinese ( Yinrun) and Asian ( Farida) and the disabled ( Kerry and Dylan)

The antisemetic tweets are from only six months ago.

I think if they were current tweets or tweets whilst she was in the house then yes someone else could have had access but as they date from 2012 if someone else wrote them and she disagreed surely she would delete them?

Have ITV made an official statement yet?

I just wanna point out, maybe not you, but others, certainly on here, were saying "yeah well it's legal" (technically they're right) when Phil Scoff shagged that 16 year old boy. However, when it suits them, it's "yeah well Trish was young, she was in her 20's, she was still a kid"

Literally, not just one or two tweets from her, but consistent tweets over the years, she goes after -

"coons"
Asians (all Asians, not limited geographically)
Jews
Disabled
LGBT
A couple of token tweets aimed towards whites (but no one will care about that, it's en vogue, hey there's a member on here openly racist towards the whities, all good)

Some are as recent as last year too.

She was my favourite, now i just see her as scum.

You can only edit tweets within one hour of posting and they have a time / edit stamp on them. Hacking into an account is totally different than hacking the Twitter mainframe and tampering with coding…

Anyway, back to the topic. So far, all we know is that Trish is supposed to have posted inappropriate tweets. If it turns out it wasn’t her, then fair enough. However, this discussion is not about that, and no one should be justifying it. So yeah, I stand by what I said.

Yes, if it was her then she should apologise. I agree that racism towards white people should also be taken seriously. We’re not going to move forward effectively as a society if we play down bigotry of any kind.

Maybe the account was hacked and the offending tweets were added / inserted randomly …

I have no idea what hackers are capable of but if they can hack into an account it can’t be that more more difficult to put a load of offensive tweets in at whatever date they choose ?

You would have thought checks would have been done...didnt someone get kicked out of the BB house because of Social Media comments that emerged during their time in there??.

ITV need to find whoever found them and hire them for the job of checking the next contestants.
ITV may have told her to say nothing to have her apologise on the show for viewing figures.

…yeah, I felt this too…that Trish might be ‘under advisement’ from BB not to make any type of statement of addressing anything because she may be getting a platform on the Late show for that…but tbh, I personally don’t think it would be just for ‘viewing figures’ …I think that ‘damage limitation’ would factor in as well in terms of the social media checks that can’t have been done very throughly but we’re pledged …and also in preservation of the future of BB in their care….not a good look for them either….

I wasn’t feeling particularly charitable towards her

I agree. IF this had been someone people didnt like they would be on it like flies round shite and there would be no excuses , nor should there be.

It works both ways .. loads of negative posts in this thread come from Trish haters who are questionable themselves but simply jumped on the bandwagon

Its fantastic, I was all sombre remembering our fallen, but Trish and her supporters just keep on giving.

Remember Jim Davidson, Katie Hopkins who were both favourites and both got to the final and the other actually won BB.

Saskia BB6 was openly racist in her VT , even Ziggy got a warning in BB8 for using the N word.

Always, these same people can't wait to jump on one dodgy 10 year old tweet by a housemate they don't like, but can make excuses for about 30 disgusting ones including some just from the past few years

I'd like to think that we don't judge people on their 10 year old tweets no matter how old somebody is (unfortunately people do though, especially towards those they already dislike) but it is kind of difficult seeing that her tweets from this year include that sort of stuff too
