Yet, here we are…

I can understand a teenager holding and posting racist/homophobic comments, but Trish would have been in her 20s when she made those posts, and was definitely old enough to be more aware and accepting of others. It shocks me that she even had those views in the first place, especially as she would have experienced racism herself, and it disgusts me that she felt it acceptable to post them! I would have been ashamed.

And, surely, even if she had those views, once she had recognised how awful they were, why did she not delete the tweets immediately? And I don’t mean because she was entering the BB house, but I mean at whatever age she was when she adjusted her perceptions and realised they were wrong. Surely, if you truly understand and regret having had those prejudices, you remove any trace of them as you’d no longer want to be associated with them?

The fact she let those messages remain, baffles me, especially given that she is an intelligent woman, and surely aware of the potential consequences. And then there’s the GFM page……

I can accept her apology, but she seems like a hypocrite to me, and has lost any respect I had for her.

I just don’t know who she is any more, and have lost any trust in her as a person.

Such a wasted opportunity for her, and such a shame.

Great post , sums up the way I feel exactly

Cheers, Sheriff. I almost feel as if I’ve been tricked, as she was the other extreme in the house. None of it makes much sense when I think of the person I thought we grew to know in the past 5 weeks.

Beast. Reminds me of the cricketer who cried racism, stirring up a huge **** storm pity party, and then turned out he tweeted hate about Jews

She used her past experiences to shield herself from criticism and undesirable cross-examination while in the house. Every "insightful" conversation she had was an attempt to control the narratives being spun around and about her while in the house. That was always obvious to me. She knows how to play on emotions and she has no qualms using her identity to blackmail others into responding to confrontational nonsense. The amount of attention she demanded was always a red flag. People associate that with constructive activism so she managed to get so many people on her side on the outside to act on her behalf that unsurprisingly that led to people digging. But I think she was so full of herself she thought she was untouchable because that's what the past has taught her. So it's no surprise she thought she could get away with it because that's literally her life skills at work. If I'm honest, no person deserves that kind of power and protection. We are all flawed works in progress and we don't *really* need daily reminding from some busybody. What Trish did was on a whole other level. She actively sought to influence and gain power over others with the intention to abuse her position in life. That's how I saw it anyway. She can certainly still find work doing whatever it is she does (and I'm sure she'll be just fine there), but I would never myself want to enable her or anyone the power to deceive others like that again.

I doubt that, BB isn't making TV stars like that anymore
