She was unbalanced and took a tumble … if she was really hurt she would have a made even more of the situation than she did .. which was bad enough

Yes .. the shock would have a shook her for sure as I mentioned earlier

Can’t believe all the fuss considering she’s such a drama queen who milks every situation

Yeah and 66 isn't old these days. William Shatner 93 in a couple of days is still very active. I saw him on YouTube and he looked great. Looked like he'd dropped a few pounds, too.

Ammi 21-03-2024 02:16 PM

…I don’t see Fern as ‘milking situations’ …she processes things in her own way and with her own reasoning and emotions and that’s displayed in her actions/reactions…like everyone else…

Zizu 21-03-2024 02:19 PM

Fern and Nikita and ‘the head injury’…?…

Incidentally I’m in the vast majority who feel that Fern milked the situation !!

I’d say the only thing that hurt apart from her pride was MAYBE that plastic hair clip at the back of her head .

She’s devious and desperate to get back on telly … that’s how I see her

I think she’s been conniving though out this whole series

Just my take on things ..

…exactly, it’s only a personal perception and coming from us, rather than applying to her in any behaviour she’s displayed in a few hours of highlighted TV with its own direction…devious/desperate/conniving are pretty extremes of analysis imo but that’s entirely on you to use them and feel them…

Just knocking an older person over is bad enough, let alone anything else.

If you were at the shops, would you just knock an older person over to get to your tin of beans?

Have you been out doing the Christmas shop, that last turkey crown must be secured at all costs

I’d suggest that the vast majority of those cushiony things are just foam or sponge .

The real risk was running around jabbing pins into balloons ( or hands / arms )

Well it is clearly some form of hard moulding covered in a cushion...if it was foam or sponge you wouldnt have heard the noise of her head banging against something hard.

Bronzo 21-03-2024 03:06 PM

I’ve started to think he’s a bit over aware about how he could be perceived, almost similarly to Ekin su, except she was playing it terribly whereas Nikita is doing it well. First when he said that phrase and immediately panicked and went to the Diary Room to apologise to the public, to now the OTT reaction to Fern falling over. I do think he’s a nice guy but I think he’s a little too worried/concerned about public opinion that he doesn’t feel as real as he did at the beginning of the show.

It was before the eviction, she likely saw a chance for a sympathy vote.

Perhaps BigBrother should have made Fern and Louis leaders of teams but only directing not participating.

Plus Nikita has no issue on age
Sharon Osborne rated him the best in there, the nicest inside and out
Also wanting him to win

Fern has gone very condescending, I now feel I'd be irritated around her myself.

Well you could accuse Nikita of playing the game...it was his housemates that persuaded him to give Fern a hug and he probably knew it would look bad if he didn't....it certainly wasn't what he planned to do...

However I am so glad he did.

That’s not game playing by Nikita though

His head was scrambled .. that was him simply taking some sensible advice from friends .. he could have ignored them

that is just nonsense. You knock any older person over and they will be shocked and shaken

joeysteele 21-03-2024 04:02 PM

Actually at Christmas times in stores.
I'm more likely to get knocked over by older customers.
Or banged into by their trolleys.

As they rush to get things in case they get sold out.

Plus never get in the way of older shoppers if a store is having a really good sale.

I just think BigBrother should have made Louis and Fern as leaders but only directing.
Especially having them all run about with pins in their hands

After all no one really wanted either in their team .
As they were left to the end anyhow .

Sorry I still think she milked it, had this happened after the eviction I think it would have passed more.
She did only fall onto the couch..
Not the floor.
I think she saw a chance to in some sympathy while up for eviction.
Knowing all of it was more certain to be aired too.

He could have ignored them...but it wouldnt have reflected well...so he did it.

I dont think his head was scrambled...he was well and truly over it until his playmates bought it up

The weak accusations of Ferns game playing...its so easy to read too much into it.

What was interesting was listening to Nikita in the Diary room last night and explain the difficulties he has forming bonds and friendships because of his life moving from place to place...which really does explain why he comes across a bit stand-offish. Whilst he has been playful with the boys you have not seen him interact a lot with the rest of them....

bots 21-03-2024 04:38 PM

the simple reality is that Nikita was going to win the game at all costs, that was his only thought. Which pretty much sums him up for me

She's no fool.
She saw the chance and grabbed it with both hands.

In the diary room was able to thtue her legs up and lies down.on her head.
If you've banged your head and it really hurt.
The last thing you could do was lie back on it.

She's very clever is Fern.

Yeah to me she milked it for all it's worth

i agree Joey anything to have a go eh ? he would never hurt anyone on purpose imo,he seems a very gentle soul no malice at all.:wavey:

Exactly
Look how upset he was immediately the incident happened .. he suddenly snapped out of competitive mode

Absolutely Kazanne.

Which is also what Sharon Osborne was saying too about him.

He and Sharon spent a lot of time together.
No playing up from him to Sharon because she wasn't even a permanent housemate.

No one will convince me that Fern didn't milk this.
It was the ideal opportunity for sympathy and guaranteed airtime.
Hours before an eviction she was up for..

No one has accused him of hurting anyone on purpose…of course he wouldn’t…and Fern didn’t try to make out he had ….but she clearly hurt her head as she fell back heavily and she had that clip in her hair. She didn’t make a fuss but she had to go to the diary room as it was a head injury….

I think it’s mean to think she was making the most of it…she pacified Nikita who obviously felt bad….give her a break.

You make some decent points

As regards Fern milking the situation .. on the online poll 74% felt she made far too much of things

Apparently Lauren has been saying Fern is not very nice and she lived with her. So who knows ?

I don’t think Fern is nice at all, I’ve been seeing it from almost day 1 but glad others are seeing another side to her

Zizu 21-03-2024 08:30 PM

There’s Fern in her usual guise of blowing smoke up someone’s backside ..

Telling Bradley how absolutely incredible he is and what a wonderful career he’s had !!!

What career ?

What the hell has he done .. a minor series on Netflix ??

That must be able to see through her , surely ?

Yeah it’s all fake, Bradley is literally in about 5 minutes of the show in Netflix he’s not a main cast member of the show, he’s one of the minor supporting characters, not sure why she’s sucking up as it comes across disingeniousb

She’s clearly hoping to get signed up by someone

Disingenuous is the word I’ve used to describe her from day 1 !!
