tbf I often forget my phone and it was a quick walk like 20 minutes I wonder about the umbrella, its an unwieldly thing to have in your hands and a freak gust could have knocked him off balance, no hat and no phone and this guy was always giving out advice

Gusto Brunt 07-06-2024 05:49 PM

Just heard on GB News, the rough terrain Michael had thought to got in trouble, well it seems he went through that in one piece and is seen alive and well on CCTV on the other side.

Very puzzling

Rugby league challenge cup final tomorrow.

You owe it to Rob Burrow's legacy to tune in to the showpiece of the game he loved.

No, he loves his wife.
No place to hide him.

He loves Nature
but was a fool
to walk back up the hills

arista 08-06-2024 11:09 AM

SkyNewsHD
asked the Mayor.

The Mayor said it is now too hot for the dogs to search

So the Drones are checking.

Not eaten for days. No water either. It could be as simple as he tripped over a stone, fell head first into a big sink hole. You never know.

That said, I was watching Talk (TV) radio on YouTube and someone on the island said Mosley told people on the beach he felt ill and was going to walk home. First time I heard that.

You can apparently live happily enough for 3+ weeks without food but only 3 days without water ..

In temps of high 90s and low 20s at night that would be 1.5 days no water

Gusto Brunt 08-06-2024 04:50 PM

What if he's never found.

Maybe the body will end up on a beach
in a few weeks

Zizu 08-06-2024 05:14 PM

They should just be looking for vultures ( or similar scavengers) !!

When a human or other mammal body is starting to fail, the body exudes (primarily through breathing) smells (chemicals) that vultures are able to interpret as a sign of imminent death. Basically, the body’s systems are failing and the escaping odors are a side-effect. Vultures can smell this from several miles away. Ravens and crows seem also to know if an animal is dying, but most other land birds have little sense of smell.

In the 1920s employees of Standard Oil in California noticed that vulture always seemed to be circling the gas-pipeline leaks the employees were looking for. It turned out that dead bodies emit ethyl mercaptan, a chemical contained in natural gas.

…it just feels like one of those bizarre/random things, doesn’t it…so horrendous for his family who are obviously holding onto hope that he’ll be found soon and that they’ll be reunited…

bots 08-06-2024 08:24 PM

People fall ill all the time, and the extreme heat in conjunction with exercise is going to highlight weaknesses. If he was an his own in the middle of nowhere he didn't stand a chance if something went wrong
