I'll take one of the latecomers. There usually is some.

I've already included the latecomers in the sweep. However I'd never turn anyone away. I'll draw you both a name at random Kaz and Alf.

No it doesn't work like that. See my previous post.

I haven't even started watching yet, I may watch on catch-up tomorrow. But from the names in there, I'd make Alan a favourite. He's a big Rugby League fan like me.

Yeah .. Corrie people always do well and he’s a genuinely nice guy

Won’t McFly / The Voice have loads of fans as well ?

Then Strictly have a massive audience

Those three should do well

It's too big a show for someone of her calibre. I know she was a character on Love Island, but this show is a nationwide show rather than a cult show. She doesn't have the pulling power.

Of course you can join in Milly. I'll pick you a camp mate at random. You don't need to do anything.

He was also in Bronski Beat with Jimmy Somerville back in the 80's. Richard and Jimmy left the group and formed The Communards (Don't leave me this way) great song, Richard was on keyboards.

Zizu 21-11-2024 11:47 AM

I still don’t recognise him LOL

Guess the lead singer Jimmy Sommerville attracted all the limelight

Kate! 21-11-2024 12:14 PM

Richard wasn't actually in Bronski Beat, that was just Jimmi with Steve Bronski. Jimmy quit and then formed the Communards with Richard. Source is Wikipedia.

Ahh did he? That's the connection then? It gives a different guys name as Sax player on Wiki so I didn't know that.

Livia 21-11-2024 12:32 PM

Richard Coles wrote Murder Before Evensong, a murder mystery. Was quite good. I like a murder mystery, me...

You might enjoy Sophie Hannah writing in the style of Agatha Christie featuring her Belgian detective Poirot. She's done 3 novels in this vein. I enjoyed them.

Really? Why have I not heard of these? Will look them out. I got the Marple book for Christmas with 12 stories by modern writers. Really enjoyed it. Also the Lucy Worsley book about Agatha Christie's life... Also good.
