Well this is why people try and highlight it because there is very little help with issues women and girls have with periods and in my experience the more you talk about it with other women you'll find that I would say the majority of women have had or will have issues at some point in their lives. It needs to be taken more seriously by the medical profession imo They're very quick to fob us off. I really wish there was more female gynecologists as well

…I think because it’s often not addressed more seriously with many GP’s…(…and especially now that some surgeries only have appointments available for more medical emergency, type things…)…it’s more important for women to talk openly to each other so that it lessens the feeling of ‘solation’…as if everyone else is fine and it’s only you, you know…?…I mean, it’s not that long ago that postpartum depression wasn’t something that was addressed as a serious thing either and was ‘downgraded’ to ‘baby blues’….

…there are times of the month when some females can feel so very restricted in their lives and sharing stories with others can help in so many ways…

Good for Steph for bringing the problem women can have to the forefront.
It’s something we can’t fully control as an individual and have to put up with all sorts of crap about, mainly of course from people who have never and will never experience.
