Cav neither confirmed or denied this rumour, so there must be some truth to that, also you must keep it a secret until the official reveal ;)
i mean the production signed up Angela Rippon despite her dance background, or Layton Williams despite his dance and theatre background and compared to Layton, i can see him being well liked by the public, since he always has been open about his childhood love for dancing ---- oh and another name rumoured, Jake Brown - Traitors Star, so that might mean no Alexander, but Jake, two footballers in one series although next to reality signing he also would tick the disability signing, but not sure how someone with cerebral palsy would do on this show, and remember not everyone with disabilities ended up winning, Jonnie Peacock, Lauren Steadman, Will Bailey are notable examples |
so our rumoured line up update who are in according to the media
- Stefan Dennis - Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - Thomas Skinner - Harry Aikines-Aryeetey - Jake Brown - Dani Dyer - Balvinder Sopal - Vicky Pattison so that's 4 females left, and 3 males left i think my guesses (4 females) - Blue Peter's Shini - Miranda Hart maybe? or if she isn't in, can see the token older woman being Rosemary Shrager - Nicola Roberts maybe as our music signing, she loved doing the christmas special i remember and then maybe Georgia Toffolo also as for our 3 males i'm guessing - Mark Cavendish - Zack Morris (i mean that Balvinder is in doesn't necessarily rule him out, considering he has done more than EE lately, also season 1 of Goosebumps) - Paul C Brunson (this name feels too random to be just among the rumours) only one i'm questioning is Miranda tbh, could see her doing the show after her bestie Sarah's decent success last year, but if she isn't in, then i could also see the bosses having asked Rosemary into doing the show, and tbf Rosemary would also be a decent household name for the casual viewers of this show, and i doubt she'd be as bad as Anneka Rice, more similar-ish to the likes of Judy Murray, Ann Widdecombe popularity wise i think |

Poppy O'Toole might be in? hmmm then Shini might not be in |

can see Stefan Dennis similarly loved like Russell Grant was in his series, especially his showmanship/theatre vibes he'll bring to his performances
doubt he'll be another Bill Bailey, as i myself wasn't surprised about Bill, considering Bill next to a comedian also is a musician, i knew he had some form of musicality, and i liked Bill since week 1 yes even that cha cha which had a 3 by Craig (undeserved 3 in my opinion) as for my own nation's representation in the show, Jimmy, i feel kinda nervous how he'll do, but i'm hopeful there might some decent-ish latin dancer in him, whoever partner he got, they shouldn't be afraid to include disco moves in dances like cha cha cha or the salsa |

somehow i could see the rumour of Thomas Skinner being false, while he was a fan favourite in the apprentice, there would be other more known entrepeneur castings than him
what about that other guy from the apprentice, Ryan-Mark Parsons? he is from same series as Thomas, although he is more a celebrity than Thomas is  |
Quote:
I can’t stand Ryan Mark, so full of himself |
with Poppy O'Toole rumoured to be in, i am less hopeful on Rosemary Shrager taking part, we wouldn't have two female chefs in one series
and Miranda Hart idk, she'd be an amazing name for sure, but i don't know if she will want to do the show herself who knows the older lady might be Dawn French surprising us all and finally saying yes to this show, all thanks to a comedian like Chris winning and a older female actress like Sarah going all the way to the final, but then we need Dawn & Johannes honestly :flutter: they would be my dream pairing (for many years now) i also think Dawn will love this show, and JoJo would indeed the perfect gentleman partner for her |

me literally this time of year, and now more than evah, for the likes of Mark Cavendish and Dawn French to be taking part, a prayer circle everyone :fc: |
my hopes
- Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - Stefan Dennis - Donal Logue - Mark Cavendish - Thomas Skinner - Jake Brown - Ashley Cain - Harry Aikines-Aryeetey ------------------------ - Dani Dyer - Poppy O'Toole - Balvinder Sopal - Shini Muthukrishnan - Vicky Pattison - Nicola Roberts - Georgia Toffolo (or Dawn French if they insist on a older female) something like this to be the line up :fc: |
i mean we don't necessarily need an older lady casting, could also be 3 older male castings, and having a slightly more competitive females line up
in light of a male winning last year, i reckon producers want to come up with few more on paper ''contenders'' from the celebrity females side |
Donal competing here, would be good for all parents with trans children in the UK so yes i hope the BBC also realize this
|
Dawn French is someone like Bill Bailey, who would want to taken seriously on this show, and not the novelty act
thats why Johannes i think would be perfect for her, should she be in |
I don't know who will fit this profile that I'm looking for that hasn't already done the Show already, but here it goes.
I want: Gender - Female Age - In her 20's or 30's Hair Colour - Dark (black or brown, I'm not fussed) Occupation - Tennis player Personality - Be really funny and charismatic. And of course this doesn't coincide with my preference for dark haired women at all. No offense to blondes, redheads, pink, or blue haired women. A bit of offense intended for green haired women.:hehe: |
Quote:
but in terms of dark haired women, you'll love Vicky Pattison then :D and she is quite funny |
They’ll be announcing the cast soon I’d think
|
Quote:
and the list of professionals is announced, two newbies, one new male pro (Julian) and one new female pro (Alexis) |
Quote:
And maybe I should stretch my criteria to Sportswomen in general, rather than just specifically Tennis players? |
we can rule out Rosemary Shrager i think, she's more gonna do some new cooking show in autumn

maybe no female music star this year then, but a model with a disability but otherwise i believe this could be our line up  the only one whose more wishful thinking for me is Donal, but that is me having a gut feeling in terms of a decently known acting name with a ''special story'' considering what the producers of this show do is box ticking, and i think we might get someone outside the box for the LGBT+ community (regarding Donal's daughter who is trans) |
Alex Kingston, OMG YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Arrow's Dinah Lance :flutter: such a great name signing :clap1:
|
tomorrow the reveals could begin to happen maybe
i'm crossing every finger and every toe, i really really really want Donal Logue to be this years surprise booking, interesting that he has no current filming work commitments, and this year having been first time he had a role in a BBC production, 300th anniversary of Murdoch Mysteries plus his life story is one which appeals quite well to the BBC bosses me thinks height wise he is 5.10 (1.78 metres) might make him a possibility for either Dianne, Alexis or Michelle, i think Dianne wouldn't be a bad one for him, she is a sucker for lovable celebs with extra baggage, but Michelle also wouldn't be too bad for him, considering he is one of those actors who deeply care about raw storytelling, building a connection through his harvard acting training i also think the public might warm to him, even if he isn't a UK celeb, his likeable nice guy vibe, similar to Nick Knowles last year he has that same-ish charm about him |
tomorrow first reveals at The One Show 7 PM
my prediction for the first reveals: Stefan Dennis, Dani Dyer and then perhaps a surprise third |
There is zero chance of Strictly signing Donal Logue.
|
2 new rumours, though I doubt both will be chosen as we already have 1 rumoured Neighbours star in Stefan Dennis. 2 Neighbours actresses/singers are said to be potential contestants. Natalie Imbruglia and Delta Goodrem.
|
Quote:
his first time this year with a role in a BBC production, not just a small guest role either, a important guest starring role, someone who the main character William Murdoch idolizes and honestly, based on this i would think him with his story he brings with him, he would be appealing in terms of their box ticking |
Quote:
|
Delta is more famous in Australia, would make more sense for her to do the australian version
and as for Natalie, she wouldn't do either version i reckon :fan: those are the rumours from planet delulu tonight we'll have Stefan Dennis i think, as well as Chris Robshaw and maybe Poppy O'Toole |

The guy was in a Batman programme for 5 Seasons that was also incredibly well known worldwide. |
Quote:
he was just lucky to have landed decent roles in quite some series he's nothing too A-Lister, in fact many of his acting colleagues find him off set very down to earth and a normal nice guy |
Spoiler: |
Alex Kingston goddess
