.... He is against the Iran war, but Hilary is for it, the only reason the us elections are big here in the UK is coz a black mans running in it, and there alot of depressed people here in the UK... |

Anyway , to answer the question , I shall be backing Obama , with my limited knowledge of US politics. If its not a conservative republican , im happy . |
yeah i know its always been big, but never as big as this, as every one has been measuring the hype including John Snow of C4 News. Becuase of a Woman & a Black man being in the election process.
... so no, its not rubbish |
Hillary Clinton, because it's about time we had a female person in charge instead of it being men all the time lol and she seems cool from what I have seen.

she wants to go to war with Iran obama doesnt,
and you want her becuase shes a woman? |
Quote:
Wow, one women who was in charge  I havn't forgoten her, but how many women have been in charge since her? Like zero, so I hope Hillary Clinton wins. |

but then everyone says no, we should vote on policies not race or gender. but then its ok when some say they want clinton coz shes a woman...? - clinton wants war with Iran - obama doesnt want war with Iran ... obama, doesnt need to be "experienced" to know not to go to war |
I might as well say I vote Obama because hes black,
but then everyone says no we should vote on policies, but its ok when we say we want clinton coz shes a woman. clinton wants war with Iran obama doesnt want war with Iran ... obama, doesnt need to be "experienced" to know not to go to war [/quote] There will be a war whatever, and whoever is in charge, Bush made that happen. All I am saying is it's about time a women was in charge, instead of men being in charge all the time, would make it different. |
i know, i was just being critical, but i dont agree that there will be a war no matter whos in charge.
|
personally i would vote for Hillary Clinton as she has experience in the White House and as First Lady.

I. can. not. stand. Hillary. Clinton, or even her husband.
I'm a Republican, and I support Huckabee, but if it was to be a democrat I wouldn't mind Obama. I also wouldn't mind if Ron Paul or Romney won it. |

I feel like it's this: If you want everyone to be equal, no matter how hard they work, you're a democrat. If you believe that people work for their status, then you're republican. This is why the Latinos will definitely vote Democrat, while the wealthiest of Americans will vote Republican. I don't think voting for Hillary Clinton just because she could be "The first woman president" or "She deserves it" (Still don't understand how she does) is the right way to decide who to vote for. I disagree with her views on giving citizenship to illegal immigrants. I disagree with the fact that there should be an increased tax for wealthy Americans. Still, you guys aren't the one voting; neither am I, but my parents voted for Romney (yesterday), and my brother voted for Ron Paul (although, doesn't look like he's going to get it) |
i think the assumption that they dont care about who we get apart from a black guy only gets stronger
who says things like "she deserves it" |
I think a lot of people are being swept aside in a big supposed "inspiration" wave by Obama, and are looking over the fact that, as far as I'm aware anyway, he doesn't really have many policies. Clinton has the experience of being in the White House and managing some political affairs with her husband Bill, and seems more resilient and determined to do something, rather than running the risk of all style and no substance with Obama.
|
Where do you get that from, its like a consensus for an "AGAINST OBAMA TACTIC"
she votes for war with Iran and Iraq OBAMA doesnt want war with anyone of those countries, which would only get more of our own people dead. the buzz word "experience" used with clinton is used as a tactic for avoiding Obama, its so transparent Obama doesnt want war with Iran , Clinton does, What Experience is that? |
Firstly, Iraq isn't "war" any more. Just because Obama wants to drop everything and run away from the mess we've made, does not mean that Clinton's an idiot for staying there and try to clean it up.
As for Iran, I've personally no idea on that. From what I've heard, and I read a lot of news, I haven't heard her explicitly say "WAR WITH IRAN". And as for having "more of our own people dead", well maybe they shouldn't join the army before they go to war then. That sounds extremely inconsiderate, I know, but you should know the dangers before joining. |
obama voted against it before the Iraq war started, hilary voted for it and still is voting for it.
if everyone wants to know the candidates polices check this comparison table out: http://www.2decide.com/table.htm ...before you judge on looks |

Barack Obama. He's a breath of fresh air for America: someone needed to take that vital step, and he did it. Having seen some of his interviews, he also has personal first-hand experience in the issues he wants to resolve as President, and I think that greatly increases his credibilty. Furthermore, he relied on funding purely through American people, i.e. through his book. In fact, the book itself was a great idea for the American people to learn more about him, and what he is about.
I'm surprised at the turnaround in voting on this poll: however, having said that, it still seems that Hillary Clinton still has a lot of popularity. The fact is though, the Clinton name does not give a fresh start for the USA: this is a time where change is crucial, and many people see Obama as that change. He's called himself the 'underdog' on many occasions, which I agree with, because he really is proving to be the dark horse in this race. |
The lead is sliding for Hillary. What a surprise.
People are starting to see right through her. People just don't want Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton. They want a new change. |
Obama is officially in the lead:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...te_counts.html Can't say I didn't see it coming. |

On balance I'd vote for Hillary. I quite like Obama - tough choice. I think Obama will win for the Democrats, and McCain will win for the republicans (obviously). The thing is that many republican voters don't like McCain, because he is too centralist. Those voters won't vote for a democrat, so they may not vote at all.
|
I hate Obama, Fake, fake, fake
Hillary will get ohio and texas vote hopefully:xyxwave: |

She promises to bring the troops home pretty quickly, yet she was all for the war not so long ago. What's changed her mind? Could it be she's saying anything to get presidency? Her healthcare plan will not be free despite what she says. It will still end costing the tax payer quite a bit of their money. Her popularity is fading. People see right through her lies and desperation. She would be an even worse president than Bush, and that's saying something. And I wouldn't be so sure she'll get the Texas or Ohio votes. In recent polls, Obama is closing the gap on her "popularity" in those states. |
There's absolutely no proof that Clinton is lying about any of those issues. At least she's set out real plans, whereas Obama is just using his "I'm young, vibrant and exciting!" card to try and whip up the excitable people.
I think he could be a good future President, and a good Vice...but he's not experienced or mature enough, and doesn't have a backbone. |
