As I said earlier in another thread, I wouldn't get your hopes up on this after what happened with the extended BBLB earlier this week. What a let down that was. I'd like to hope that there's a twist, but after the BBLB incident I think they're probably just trying out closing the lines earlier than usual.

if that's what they're doing just trying closing them early because that's half the atmosphere of the live eviction shows knowing it's not yet set in stone |

I really want to know why. And OMG at Maysoon walking!!!

I know why!!!!
It's cos they don't want the public to ponder on who should be evicted too much
Cheeky BB bosses!!! :spin2: |
they probably need a day to make the rigged votes look convincing
|
maybe they dont want to pay for all the housemates families to come down

We even have the lowest prize money in the world for winning Big Brother. You'd think after ten years they'd have made enough to put the money up to 1 million and see how the housemates act then for a big sum of money! |
Its always closed at :59 (to the person who said thats a strange time)
I missed it i was out. the room |
Maybe Lisa, Michael and Sara will have to choose out of the 2 with the most votes???

Maybe to give Davina a chance to prepare her script* about the housemate that is evicted, rather than having to prepare eight different interviews?
*or more accurately give the scriptwriters a chance to prepare the script for the eviction interview. |
Voting Closes Tonight (Thursday)
There's only (!) eight people facing eviction this week now that Maysoon has quit the game, but you don't have until 9.30pm on Friday to vote for the one you'd most like to get rid-of at the 7th Eviction, as would normally be the case. We say that because the voting lines will close at midnight tonight (Thursday, 31st of July 2008), something Big Brother hasn't really made clear enough in our view. Fans have asked us why this is, and all Channel 4 can say is that it's something to do with admin. That's rather vague, and seeing as the votes are effectively counted by computers, we can't see why it isn't feasible to keep the lines open until Friday night. Even if they had to close 30 minutes earlier to verify all the votes, it would make more sense than closing them tonight, because a lot of fans will be unaware of the situation and miss-out on the opportunity to vote. It is generally accepted that the majority of votes are placed on a Friday. On that note, the more sceptical fans have already suggested that this is some kind of ploy to save Luke, especially when combined with the fact that it would have been Luke vs Dale until Big Bruv suddenly decided to put seven more people up for eviction. We don't know about that, but what-with the voting lines opening a day later this week and effectively closing a day earlier, inevitably there won't be as many votes registered and it could possibly skew the result. The less sceptical will doubtless argue that there'll be fewer votes for everyone, so the percentages will be the same, but with so many people facing eviction and such a short period of voting, there's definitely scope for the result to be much closer than it might have been. For instance, if Luke's detractors were waiting until Friday night to vote, but Dale or Mohamed's have already called in, the result could go in a different direction. Channel 4 say that they'll make no money from the voting during Big Brother 9, however several charities will benefit. You can find the voting telephone numbers for the 7th Eviction in our Latest News section. Looks like bigbrotheronline.co.uk doesn't even know |
?? so does that mean that Davina won't keep telling us every five minutes to phone our votes in. Can't see that happening - that is when they get most of their votes (& money) during the show!!

its abit weird isnt it yeah, i do think theres a reason though, a twist, that we wont find out about till the actual night, exciting lol x x x
|
i hope it's a good twist./

All very strange. Can't see it being ploy to keep Luke. For one it's got no chance of working. For two Luke without Bex is not now a major player......So why would they want to keep him in!!!!!!
Starting late and finishing early certainly sems as though something fishy is a foot! But what!!!!!!! A twist I doubt because the publics wishes would have to be honoured or another big fine would result......Baffled......:puzzled: |
