I've tried my best this year to vote to keep the entertaining ones in.Even if I haven't liked them.

Same here Rach I've bitten my tounge on a number of occasions just to make sure that I keep the entertaining housemates in!

I reckon that Big Brother started to suck in BB2 'cos little girls fancied Paul. I mean, they kept him in for no end of weeks over people with actual characters: Narinda and Bubble. After they had gone it became lame with Dean strumming his guitar and Elizabeth being boring. I get fed up with the Helen quote "I like blinking, I do".... It's always out of context. She said it as a funny comment on why she was no good at stare fights... I'm not denying she was stupid, but that was actually one of the intelligent comments she made...

I think out of all of them that have gone so far he will be missed most of all.
The only good thing is he'll be on bblb next week so that will be brilliant:thumbs:
As was the case rachb, but the ironic thing is that Shell overeacted to nothing while Victor restrained himself in order to pass the task during Shell's outburst, yet the public blame him! :bored:

It wouldn't surprise me either.

Shell definitely doesn't deserve to win as she's been too quiet and her behaviour on the rare occasion has been bizarre. I remember the time she went scrazy not having any ciggies sometime in the first two weeks.

Amy 23-07-2004 11:27 PM

If Shell won it we would be reliving BB4 all over again!I can't see Shell winning BB!

I do hope BB doesn't spend anymore time than is necessary on Michelle and Stu. Hopefully Jason will spice things up a bit, but then by doing so he risks being voted out by the public. It's a no win situation really. I suspect he'll have a better chance of avoiding eviction if he just sits says nothing and folds his arms until next Friday. That way the public will warm to him. I know, it makes no sense to me either. :bored:

As I have absolutely lost faith with the public and how they vote, I really don't what to think anymore Amy. It would be terrible if Shell won I agree, as she's been the least interesting of this series housemates.

Nothing in general, I'm a nice guy. Niceness is a quality I look for when picking friends, but when it comes to a show involving people trapped in a house together, I'd rather see a range of emotions than everyone playing happy families and getting along.
I concur. I watch BB for all the nasty reasons (arguing, tantrums, moaning and that kind of thing) Nice people just aren't interesting enough, and when I define nice I mean those that are always polite, kind, considerate soft touches. BB 4 was ultra nice and it was terrible, really awful to watch.

I know how you feel. I'm so angry with the public and their reasoning for voting out Victor.

Mike 23-07-2004 11:50 PM

They might as well take BB off TV because the housemates left apart from Jason are all boring.

Dan is entertaining and always worth watching. I like his mannerisms, his voice and the way he's conducted himself throughout the series. He's also made me laugh many times with his droll and deadpan look (his rant against Ahmed in the diary room after the Bootcamp task had me in tears) He's always stood up to the jungle cats and never shied away. He's my favourite of the housemates left and I really hope he wins.

I agree It's not going to be as exiting now and I will miss Slick.

Thats it then because Jason will go next week and then BB wont be worth watching anymore. nice one Nadia/Shell fans (not)
I've been raging against the public voting ever since the first series! It has for some reason got steadily worse where the boring housemates seem to escape eviction, and the entertaining housemates not only get evicted, but a greeted by a hostile crowd booing their little hearts out.

Next series we need to see the evictions ruled out altogether, or to have a new system introduced where the public votes for their favourite housemate. This might prove a better idea in keeping the entertaining housemates in.

Mike 24-07-2004 12:28 AM

Yeah i agree, because if you think about it all the entertaining housemates have gone which is really weird because you would have thought people want entertainment.

top_banana 24-07-2004 12:53 AM

That would be a logical assumption yes, but with it's never always worked like that for Big Brother. One would have thought fans of the show would have learnt from the last series by keeping the dull ones in. For some reason people find Nadia 'entertaining'. I beg to differ.

Kore 24-07-2004 01:31 AM

some people must find boring people "entertaining"
get nadia 00t!

flyfly5 24-07-2004 04:35 AM

I wanted it to be Jason Cowan, the evil muscle bound moron thundercat closet case. I'm so shocked it's Victor that's out.....

When I go outside now, I think about all the losers that voted Victor out, and it makes me want to emigrate, or at least go on holiday.

kaphc 24-07-2004 11:22 AM

Maybe instead of having a public vote, only "proper" BB fans should be allowed to vote who have watched the series and thought about it more.

It would just depend on the definition of what makes a "proper" BB fan!!!

Dan_ 25-07-2004 10:33 AM

I think only one vote per house should be employed.
