You have to remember one or both parties will have to persuade their memberships that the joint policy agreement needed to ensure a stable government that will take time. The last thing either party want or the country needs is for a quick thrown together coalition simply to get GB out of Downing Street, which will then fall at the first hurdle. Patience is a virtue in life as well as politics. Brown still heads the Cabinet and if crisises arise he still has the power to make and implement decisions. He would or rather should call Cameron and discuss these decisions, if not having Cameron sittng in on some of the meetings. Anyway if Clegg gets his way and there is political reform to the voting system, with proportional representation being introduced, this slow drawn out dealmaking is what the future of politics will hold for us. Best get used to it. Gone will be the days of a quick eviction and the new PM moving into Number 10 within a couple of days of the election. |

I love the way they are demanding Electoral reform and "true democracy" as if they speak for all of the country. Surely they should be demanding for a national referendum on whether the country wants electoral reform?
