Yeah I had no idea about it! Partly because I've never had any need to do a search like that for anything else; and partly because I've had to miss most pub quizzes in the past because of other commitments so I've never been on any teams where they've found pictures in that way, if they ever did before...

The YouTube video idea won't work either... people can just screenshot everything, crop it and do the exact same thing... back to the drawing board :laugh:

Surely you have rounds that don't involve pictures?

7 is a lot of rounds anyway, it'd survive a couple being cut.

Pictures = Google images
Trivia questions = Google

I mean it pretty much rules out every traditional type of pub quiz round. All of the other rounds I have prepared are picture based; to my knowledge the music clip round is the only round anyone has ever done for any pub quiz that has been non-picture based. The only things I can think of doing are face morphing two celebrities together and you have to guess the people or ripping off Tregard's thread and getting people to find links between things...

That sucks :(. But also Pub Quiz is usually great as it is held during Off Season when it gets abit boring so it is not the end of the world if it is delayed slightly.

I dunno wannashag... but that's the thing guys, I don't know if there's any point delaying it because I don't know how I can redo it. I can't think of a way to come up with Google-proof rounds.

what about cutting up pictures of celebs faces and putting 3/4 of them together to make a whole face and we have to answer which celebs are in the photo, you could make 10-20 of them and that way i doubt they could be image searched on google

I used images that I print-screened from YouTube videos.

It resulted in much fewer instances where the images came up on Google, but wasn't foolproof. I think you have to aim for particularly blurry or awkward moments in the video that aren't much use to people who want stills for reasons like graphics or blogging.

Greg for music could you not use parts of the music videos and make a mini-film comprising them? It'd be a lot of work, but don't think anyone would be able to cheat with that?

I thought it was common knowledge given I addressed it in the third pub quiz.

Extending this to 9pm to give people a chance to look at the remaining images for a bit longer because of the site being down all day, followed by a new and (hopefully) cheat proof Round 3 :amazed:!
