Perfect. The gov wll be cutting services to the poor of this country because of the recession and no deal brexit, but paying 10's of millions of pounds to stop a few desperate brown people getting in here. Shameful and a complete waste of money.

Look Slim we have no choice
to get a solid agreement
the French demand money,
so we will have to pay them
per illegal migrant returned.

In the Long run
it is cheaper to do this.

Would you rather £1 being invested in the services this country needs, such as healthcare, homelessness, poverty etc, or that £1 going to France to repel dinghies?

People would still whinge if these people came in through the ‘proper’ channels, it’s not about the method, it’s about the people

Ammi 14-08-2020 07:50 PM

..something I’m just reading atm...

‘The main reasons asylum-seekers come to the UK are that they speak English or have a family connection there, and because Britain’s family reunification programme is faster than other countries‘...

Ammi 14-08-2020 07:53 PM

... “I have no money, no food, no home, no reason to carry on living if they try to stop me getting to England,”....I think it’s more about being desperate adults, tbh...in a way that our lives would find it difficult to imagine...

Never that simple

It's all just smoke tactics, it's easier for the rich to do what they do when they turn the populace against someone less fortunate than themselves.

People who obsess over immigration are doing exactly what the rich want them to do, if we're too busy whining about immigrants, the unemployed etc, we don't focus on who is really draining the country dry.

For me, asylum seekers warrant support and to be cared about.
Seeking security and hope of a new life are not crimes.

They are human beings from being on this planet Earth.
No matter our nationality, we are all the human race.

That's all that should matter in my view.

You're seriously suggesting that those are equal to each other? The worst that would have happened to dom is that he would have been fired. We've seen dead asylum seekers being killed at sea and washing up on the shore for years, so asking for them to be treated better is as bad as nazi propaganda?

I tell you what is similar to the current narrative in this country:

If our already stretched services are getting further cuts, the last thing they need is even more people.

I was referring to the picture of the man with the child, that was not taken at Dover

I watched a very interesting debate in this this morning, 24 million the people traffickers have pocketed while those with no funds languish in camps

Yeah, I know. Likening that with Farage's nazi-esque propaganda seems a bit iffy at best to me.

Neither paint a true picture, not appreciating that is iffy to me :idc:
