you don't have to give points to Ukraine, but it is a must to support Ukraine outside of eurovision

it is absolutely disgusting that politics have won in this show, my show has been ruined now :bawling:

and well, i am a man of my word now, and my personal winner is Malta, also good that it is been proven now that they play things fair and square in terms of juries

Emma Muscat didn't deserve last place in semi and i am positively surprised about her avoiding that and also with 20 televote points in the semi, well that is better than 2017 and 2018 for them, where they got 0 and 1 televote point respectively, Emma is such a beautiful person on the inside too, also her song might've been ''basic'' ''been there done that'' but as long as you got rubbish like cancel culture, negativity, conflicts in this world you need uplifting self-love anthems such as what she went for this year

but i hope she returns with a powerhouse slower ballad some year, with more experience too, she deserves so much successes for the good person she is, yes she really is 110% passionate about music

and let's go Sam & Emma upcoming summer, hyped for that duet of theirs in Malta, hopefully they can do more social media content together as well

my sort of eurovision is love for music and music alone, no politics into this show, leave rivalries outside of this contest as well and respect each others music

feel bad for Russian artists as well how they cannot be in this contest anymore all thanks to Adolf Putin

I thought they would top more jury votes if I am honest so that was a nice surprise

based on song, this one is purely just a joke act ;)

they won because of the war

i deducted points in my score for them, based on the fact how i hate rapping and especially male rapping

How did our LT feel about our AJ presenting from Manchesta

bots 15-05-2022 08:57 AM

AJ is so amateurish it's embarrassing. I remember her days on BB

Yes Nicky but you must know that Eurovision voting has always been political... with countries voting heavily for their friends and neighbours.

user104658 15-05-2022 09:24 AM

I mean there's a lot of talk about the UK magically doing well (from basically zero points in previous years) all thanks to a good song ... and the entry was good - BUT there's no way the UK would have come 2nd without the heavy recent support UK has been offering to Ukraine. That's clearly earned some brownie points across Europe.

yeah, france gave us 12 pts fgs  europe has softened its dislike for the UK and that helped the score

We came 2nd because if the song, you dont understand how much work Sam put in for this, he travelled around Europe non stop to promote his songs and became so loved by Eurovision fans before he even sang a note

Oliver_W 15-05-2022 09:54 AM

So yeah, our country is obviously the real winner.

Vanessa 15-05-2022 10:09 AM

Norway. Omg I haven't stopped laughing since yesterday.
That was hilarious! :laugh3:

Ikr. I need to watch the show properly. I only saw them actually win, cheering like maniacs. It was foul.

Well yeah, their entry was shite, probably wouldn't have made the final without the war.

Because tonight proves we CAN do it. Bravo Sam!

Favourites of the night: Sweden (LOVE), Spain, Lithuania, Finland (The Rasmus took me back to my teenage years as a wannabe skater), Czech Republic. Norway and Moldova were a lot of fun too.

I still love In The Shadows to this day from The Rasmus.

And I agree with your assessment on the UK.

That is a fair point.

I personally believe that both entries would've done well regardless of politics though as their styles of Music does have an appeal at Eurovision.

Obviously the political side of things helped us both do even better.

Awe got 12 points from France and Germany who we are not really on the best of terms with so its not political at all

Nicky91 16-05-2022 09:04 AM

France was amazing, simply iconic but too far ahead of its time

i support ukraine outside of eurovision of course

but as for their song, i never did see this as a ''winner song'' more in the harmless novelty folklore act category

the rapping i particularly disliked, not necessary for me personally whereas the singer could easily carry the entry himself, that part was kinda anthemic so yeah i can understand why their soldiers love this song

in terms of the win i would've preferred Spain or Sweden or UK i think

but you british people be proud :clap2: UK is back in the game thanks to TaP Music, hopefully you guys can continue to serve more quality entries now
