not to charge this terrible rate
for the next 3 years or so.

Then pay back the Government Loan
over 7 or more years.

so the people must take on a loan for 7+ years? Don't see how that is a great idea, it guarantees recession for 10 years

The Government takes on the loan
not us.


It is a clever pan.

You did say that bailing out energy companies was a great plan :laugh:

nationalising the energy companies doesnt solve anything either, we still have to buy the energy at the market rate. The only way is to become energy self sufficient and that will take decades

All of those profits go back into reducing bills and improving services, rather than shareholders. EDF is 85% owned by the French gov and their energy rises have been capped at 4%. To say nationalisation doesn't solve anything is blatantly false.
