To remind his mum of Richard, and spoiling Sarahs wedding
|
Tearaway David Platt is set to spark fireworks by putting a wedding dress on Guy Fawkes.
Fans must wait to see whether the frock is really his sister Sarah’s – or her bad-lad brother is having a lark. It is still a closely guarded secret whether Sarah, played by Tina O’Brien, 24, actually ties the knot with Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas, 23). The bonfire scenes were filmed in Manchester’s Heaton Park this week, and clearly show that tearaway David (Jack P. Shepherd, 19) survives his Halloween Night canal plunge. Bad boy David is seen around the bonfire eating candyfloss beside despairing mum Gail (Helen Worth, 56). A source revealed: “We see David being welcomed back into the family after his terrible behaviour, in which he tried everything to break Sarah and Jason up. Pests “But quite how long he can be on his best behaviour is anyone’s guess.” Also warming their hands around the fire are pregnant Violet Wilson (Jenny Platt, 28) and the baby’s gay father, Sean Tully (Antony Cotton, 32). Meanwhile, some other pests brought the night shoot to a standstill – and this time David was not to blame. The Bonfire Night scenes were hampered by a blitz of tiny midges which left the show’s actors and production staff scratching their heads in frustration. At one stage the production team had to stop the cameras and hand out insect repellent sprays to every member of the itchy cast. “Everyone was having a right old scratch – it was a complete nightmare,” revealed one witness to the filming. “They were obviously attracted by the bright lights and would not leave the actors alone. “Those midges must be big soap fans!” Daily Star |
