I know lol, that was dreadful. Serves him right for trying to be cheeky; just needed a whack in any corner and they'd have won.

Well done Villa.

Oh, and Wilshere fcking class; I hope we see more of him next season, although Wenger will spout his usual "patience" ********.

He's 17 yet he's got a football brain of a 28 year old. What a bloody gem.
Im a gooner btw but you can't throw a 17 year old in premier league games week in week out when he isn't fully developed as in muscle span. He would take a lot of sore hits. He needs time to grow. From a football perspective, he is miles ahead of most PL footballers tbh.

Everton's Under-16s have won the Milk Cup for a second year in a row.

The young Blues beat Watford 4-1 in the final on Friday to be crowned champions of Northern Ireland’s international youth tournament.

Everton beat strong competition from around the world in four earlier stages to progress to the final, where Everton looked comfortable throughout.

Hallum Hope, who scored a hat-trick in last year's final, opened the scoring just four minutes into the tie while Chris Long doubled the Blues' advantage moments later.

And on the brink of half time Everton's lead was increased to three as Hope netted his second of the match.

Everton continued to dominate proceedings during the second period looking dangerous on the attack, and Anton Forrester got his name on the score sheet to make it 4-0 with twenty minutes to go.

The Hornets' goal in stoppage came just too late to make an impact, and Everton were deservedly crowned champions after a thoroughly impressive performance.

Won it with ease.

Not at all, and I don't expect that to happen. I mean ffs, he's being touted for a possible England World Cup squad call up already. It would be nice to see more of him than we have seen in the real competitive games.

Arsenal offered 6m for Chamakh Bordeaux
They say it's way to low and want 12m.

This is what wengar is good at, Zenit wanted 25m for Arshavin and we got him for 15m..

Chamakh is annoyed at the club for not letting him talk with Arsenal

Bent having a medical at Sundeland

Good news for Arsenal Bad news for Everton.

As Nasri is out against Everton, it seems Fellani will not be able to play Arsenal in their first game of the season.

Novo 03-08-2009 02:16 PM

Good news for everton i reckon then

Don't rate fellani that much

Midfield four should be

Pienaar
Cahill
Osman [ Maybe rodwell]
Arteta

Real Madrid have had an offer of €32 million accepted by Liverpool for Xabi Alonso and a pre-accord has been sealed that will see the player move back to Spain this week, according to a report.

A meeting between the two clubs in Barcelona at the weekend saw a thaw in the frosty stand-off, and with Los Merengues showing some goodwill, an agreement was reached, Sport state.

Liverpool were holding out for £30 million, while Madrid were keen to pay only €30million, but the rise of €2m has seen the Reds accept the offer.

The Spanish giants' director general, Jose Angel Sanchez, met with Liverpool's financial director, Christian Purslow, in a hotel within walking distance of Camp Nou.

Talks were friendly, but firm, Sport believe, with Madrid accepting that they would have to move their bid up if they were to persuade Liverpool to let the player go.

Alonso has made it clear that he wants to make the switch and become part of Florentino Perez's new look Galacticos, and for such a sum Rafa Benitez is willing to do business.

A deal with the player himself was reached weeks ago and he has had to remain patient while the two clubs postured and searched for a way forward, but now that has happened he can prepare for the transfer.

Before and after Liverpool's friendly against Espanyol in Barcelona on Sunday, Alonso, whose father Periko played for the Blaugrana, remained tight-lipped about joining Real Madrid.

Some better news:

http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/o...6/Aquilani.jpg

Reports in Spain suggest that Liverpool have completed a deal for Alberto Aquilani, the Roma midfielder.

According to reports, Liverpool and Manchester United are set to battle for the signature of David Villa, the Valencia forward

Good news for Sunderland and Arsenal, bad news for Liverpool and Cardiff for having a complete dipstick on trial.

Lauren 03-08-2009 07:56 PM

Newcastle 1 - 1 Dundee Utd.

Christ, Newc really need a new owner, new manager, new signing ASAP.

30stone 03-08-2009 08:42 PM

Lol.

Liverpool will only get one of them.

And i dont think it will be villa.

And every game without torres will be hard due to lack of good strikers..

King Gizzard 04-08-2009 01:53 AM

Delph checking in to be villas 2nd summer signing. Really hope he progresses. I think we ll then follow it up signing Warnock, then Distin, then a shock - Sneijder

Novo 04-08-2009 01:59 AM

Man city will come flshing the money to Delph

King Gizzard 04-08-2009 02:02 AM

No, Leeds have said they are not willing to discuss further with any other teams and chose villa down to there respectful handling of their interest in Fabian, its basically a done deal. He'd be a mug to want to go to Man City

Novo 04-08-2009 02:11 AM

Moyes was interested in him in in june

Don't think we would need to him we just need our midfielders fit for the new season

King Gizzard 04-08-2009 02:13 AM

as you said up there, i dont even rate fellaini, apart from that the everton midfield is good

dirty player, remember him in the Hull game where he nearly elbowed turners head off and the ref did nothing about it. And the fact he hasnt bothered to learn english yet

The deal could well take a few days to complete but it seems he is set on moving to Arsenal.

King Gizzard 04-08-2009 02:18 AM

Is he a goal scorer though? prolific? thats what you need, huntelaar

Johann 04-08-2009 04:32 AM

He's in London at the moment hoping to push through a deal. Tbh I'm a bit unsure about him, but in Wenger we trust.

Lauren 04-08-2009 10:16 AM

Apparently the Bentley/Dawson rumour (that there's a 16m deal for them to move to Sunderland) was made up, aw.

Novo 04-08-2009 11:07 AM
