Rafa - " Winning Europa league with Chelsea felt better then Champions League victory with Liverpool "

BBfanUSA 27-05-2013 09:09 PM

The Football Season maybe winding down for you guys but The US has 2 friendlies (Belgium and Germany in the next week or so) and 3 WCQ matches coming up. We need to get at least 7 points out of that. Also would love to see Mexico meltdown even more. Oh yeah, I still have the MLS but Seattle Sounders are a trainwreck. I watched them play LA last night and by halftime it was already 4-0 LA. (And Robbie Keane scored a Hat Trick)

Drew. 27-05-2013 09:11 PM

We have Friendlies against Ireland and Brazil coming up too, and the U21s and Confederations cup.. will be a busy summer

BBfanUSA 27-05-2013 09:12 PM

The US would've been in it had we decided not to play Johnathan Bernstein in the Gold Cup Final in 2009. That got Bob Bradley fired. I am going to be watching it and rooting for any team not named Mexico facing Mexico. And Spain.

We almost won it in South Africa

Mexico, US' Mortal Enemies. We were up 2-0 in the 2010 Gold Cup and in the second half they exploited our weakness Bernstein and I think Bob should've subbed him the first time a goal got through.

The Gold Cup is the North American/Central America/Carribean version of the Euro Cup but it's played every two years. Because of WCQ Mexico and US are playing their B Teams this year.

ah, i think i'd rather watch Mexico play, they have some entertaining players.. which team will you be supporting now?

BBfanUSA 27-05-2013 09:24 PM

More than likely Italy. I think Brazil or Spain will win it.

Drew. 27-05-2013 09:25 PM

yeah, i think it will be either Italy or Spain

King Gizzard 27-05-2013 09:28 PM

are we talking about the world cup? A South american team will win, Europe won't be able to deal with the climate

BBfanUSA 27-05-2013 09:30 PM

Confederates but Close enough

World Cup will for sure go to a South American Team.

Drew. 27-05-2013 09:37 PM

so excited for the world cup

BBfanUSA 27-05-2013 09:39 PM

Yeah I am a bit already too. Hopefully the Americans qualify for it and make a unexpected deep run.

Drew. 27-05-2013 09:41 PM

quite nervous about our remaining qualifying games though

$$$$$$$$$

BBfanUSA 27-05-2013 09:51 PM

Mine too, The other teams aren't exactly cupcakes in the Hexagonal (US, Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, Panama, and Costa Rica) (Top 3 teams move automatically to the world cup, 4th place plays a aggregate home and away play off with New Zealand to get into the world cup)

Ryan57 28-05-2013 08:37 AM

One half decent, mainly average, nation in England vs wank Ireland. Should be interesting.

Indeed. Have seen some Everton fans are worried. I wouldn't be. Will inherit a good defence really (which he hasn't had at Wigan). Might have to get a replacement for Baines, however.

Will play good football also.

i personally want to see him at Stoke.. at least then that gets rid of the hoof ball tactics and we get a slightly more entertaining Stoke

Whoever gets that job has a tough one on their hands, imo. Martinez would probably want rid of half the team due to them not fitting into his style of play. :joker:
