Wasn’t she battling with depression, alcohol and drug issues !?
I’d imagine knowing she’d be presenting the summer series was one of the few positives in her life ..

I imagine it still must have been difficult for her to be tossed aside and replaced while she had to leave the country to clear her head from all the abuse she was getting.
She said when stepping down that Love Island had been her world for the last five years so she probably felt empty and worthless not being able to do her job when she was probably at the peak of her career just a few months prior.
Not to mention people criticising her as a presenter saying she wouldn't be missed when Laura took over and taking the piss out of her during the series like the Chris lying in the dark meme. |
