According to the Correire dello Sport, AC Milan have reportedly signed Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Real Madrid for a fee of €15m. The actual signing should take place tomorrow - if this Italian report is accurate.

Update: Other sources, including Marca and SkySport 24, are also stating that it is a done deal. Update 2: Goal.com also understands that this is the case.

Unlucky Arsenal and Villa :wavey:

Official: Sunderland have gleefully announced that they have broken their transfer expenditure record to land Darren Bent from Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £10m

The former West Ham United captain, Lucas Neill, is in talks with Sunderland, according to reports

Pavel Pogrebynak: Why Did Liverpool, Spurs or Arsenal Not Sign the Bargain £4M Russian Hitman?

Pavel PogrebynakRussian hitman Pavel Pogrebnyak moved to Bundesliga giants Stuttgart last weekend for a cut-price fee despite Premier League interest this summer. The highly-rated 25-year-old international signed for a mere £4m which prompts the question, why didn’t the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham take a gamble on him.

Pogrebynak had even suggested a move to Arsenal was his preference which would have seen him team up with former international and club team-mate Andrei Arshavin at the Emirates. He had said, “It is the first time I’ve heard about Arsenal’s interest, but, of course, I’m pleased that the club is interested in me.

“I think that for any player to get the opportunity to work with Arsene Wenger would be a big step forward.”

He wanted to sign for us before the transfer window opened..

Ah well , I'm not too bothered, as long as Spurs or gunners didnt get him I don't mind. We were never really in for him anyway, Sneijder on the other hand :dance2:

King Gizzard 05-08-2009 05:54 PM

BTW, aquilani is an attacking midfielder, how is that a replacement for Alonso

30stone 05-08-2009 05:55 PM

Useless milan and their **** league.

Could drop Gerrard back into the center and play Aquilani as an attacking mid, can't see Benitez wanting to take the Gerrard-Torres partnerhip apart though.

He's changed a lot of players positions before though, Garcia was an attacking mid when we signed him and ended up playing on the right wing everytime he played, Diouf was a striker and ended up on the right wing, and Kuyt was a striker and mainly plays on the right wing now, so he'll probably just drop Aquilani into the center, but we're supposedly still interested in Poulsen anyway.

Who the hell do we sign now.

We are out for chamakh.
Chelsea said they will do whatever it takes to hold on to him.
Dzecko, martins, pavel all signed
Huntelaar has signed

Im lost as to who Wenger will be looking at next..

Probably no one, you know what hes like probably thinks you have enough

A fit Eduardo could be your goalscorer

Bendtner will have to step up big time

Johann 05-08-2009 06:09 PM

I don't understand why Wenger didn't go in for Huntelaar. Probably because he's not French.

I bet we sign no one, not even another defender. It's starting to feel that way.

Locke. 05-08-2009 06:10 PM

We are playing now against Lyn Oslo, winning 0-1. This game wasn't listed on the fixtures list on the LFC site :nono:

Think Voronin got the goal.

King Gizzard 05-08-2009 06:10 PM

There is a lack of strikers out there, its bemusing, us Villa even need one

Yeah, the pre-season hitman. :joker: Now if only he could bring that form into the games that matter, you wouldn't have to rely on Torres and Gerrard as much. Did well for Hertha, but we all know that the German league is quite inferior to the PL.

King Gizzard 05-08-2009 06:16 PM

I think cutting off that massive ponytail would somewhat help him :joker:

N'gog just scored to make it 2-0.

Locke. 05-08-2009 06:20 PM

Yeah Voronin isn't good enough to be competing at the top 4 stage in the premiership, he doesn't play like he is anyway.

2-0 Ngog.

King Gizzard 05-08-2009 06:45 PM

Villa close on Beye aparently :(. Terrible signing

Jayson 05-08-2009 07:54 PM

Sucks about Huntelaar but never expected Wenger to go through with it TBH.

I think we need to sign Juan from Roma, great centre back.

And Agbonlahor from Villa or maybe even Saviola from Madrid.

Brad. 05-08-2009 07:57 PM

Agbonlahor would be a great signing for arsenal.

30stone 05-08-2009 08:04 PM

Agbonlahor is good but he hasn't realy shown hes consistant yet.

We should go for David Villa lol.

Actually no, will Wenger be back in for Andre Piere Gignac?
I think The french leage 1 top scorer age like 25.

He was interested before..

Lauren 05-08-2009 08:40 PM

Rangers 3 - 2 Man City.

Last minute Weir goal!

Yea we were linked with him weren't we; maybe we still are. Now he's a striker I wouldn't mind seeing with us.

I'm hearing rumours, albeit not very good ones, that Tomas Rosicky sustained a hamstring injury in training today and could be out for up to 5 weeks. This may be absolute bollox but nothing would surprise with our luck with injuries and especially as Rosicky has been out for over a year because of the hamstring.
