Finn jealous of Phoebe and Robbie kissing, things are going to get interesting there.

I think Phoebe will eventually find out what happened to JP, she is a McQueen after all.

Hollyoaks planning 'feisty' new female characters

While little is known about the characters that show producers have in mind, the newcomers have already been specified as Northern characters.

The casting call reads: "Hollyoaks are looking for exciting Northern actresses aged 17 to 25 to join their cast.

"The characters will be feisty and sparky with Northern accents."

Yeah, it would be a good twist if Dodger was the Dad. I think he and Sienna will save her from Patrick.

True, but at least they are adding more northerners to the show since HO is set up north and there seems to be more southerners in it atm.

I miss the student and uni vibe of the show tbh!

The whole Black/Roscoe fiasco is just a wreck. :joker:

It's hard to believe the show is being ran by the same person who took it through 06-08.

BK's first stint was amazing though, this one is hit and miss but I still enjoy the show and think there is some underrated talent.

I would argue some of the talent are better than some so called Actors you see in other soaps, yes I mean the likes of Cotton, Marsh, Ghadie, McAlpine etc;).

Some of the actors aren't bad but they're not saving the show from the absolute mess that it's in.

The stories are just getting even worse and don't make any sense. I've tried deciphering character motivation (especially within the Roscoe/Black mess) and none of it makes any sense whatsoever.

(Don't get me started on Corrie, that show is ****e. :laugh: Corrie's worse than EE was 2 years ago and that's saying something).

I agree the characterisation and storylines can be OTT. There is too much gangster stuff and doing OMG moments.

I miss when the show was about every day life and the student element, it was more varied then in terms of characters and storylines.

Yeah, I don't really mind OTT/gangster if it's entertaining and written well.

The gangster stuff at the minute just seems like the writer's of different episodes aren't talking to each other and the storyline isn't coherent. :laugh:

Exactly, the gangster stuff would have more purpose if it was presented better and we could believe in what was happening.
