The reviews are in!

Press Reviews:
“Neither the world’s greatest singer nor the world’s greatest dancer, she nevertheless appears to be working harder than any of her peers to create something noticeably edgier and more interesting than your average pop stadium show.”
– The Guardian /

“It is a brave artist that trashes her stage show between legs of her first arena tour, but Lady Gaga is nothing if not a perfectionist and her gamble just about pays off on the first date of this European run.”
– Independent /

“The perfectionist triple Brit winner really took it to the wire. She was still rehearsing up to half an hour before the doors opened. <...> It’s breathtaking stuff – and could be the best live show you will see this year.”
– The Sun /

“A 40-foot animatronic sea monster, 15 costume changes, and a grand piano burning to pieces in the middle of the stage — you certainly get what you pay for at a Lady Gaga concert. <...> It was a hugely ambitious, terrifyingly loud show.”
– BBC /

Outstanding reviews!

Turns out, she didn't perform Glitter and Grease. It was just part of an interlude.

NOTW Review.

Shes not Great at Brit speeches-but Lady Gaga sure does put on one hell of a show!

First night nerves on her opening spectacle aren't when she comes on stage 45 minutes late, thanks to a fire backstage.

Yet, desite playing an exhausting 19, of the 22 songs on her album The Fame Monster, Its a magnificent glimps into the mind of one of the most inventive pop stars in years.

So many mad moments happen amoung the 10 costume changes its hard to keep track.

Take your pick for the best outfit from the red cape with shoulder pads which turn Gaga into a gay batman, he zebra striped leotard Zoolander would reject for being too OTT, or a giant fringed white lampshade. No effort is spared in the crazy set design either. Gaga plays the ballad speechless while her piano is on fire.

A platform raises her 30ft above the crowd in So Happy I Could Die-and thats not forgetting the giant squid-like monster which chases her across the stage in paparazzi.

Earlier hits like Just Dance and Poker Face are belted out in style.

There are problems it takes too long to set up between the four lavish set designs, and the monster ball theme is a bit naff.

But, as the "ra-ra-ohh-LA-LA" chorus of the final Bad Romance is chanted at eardrum-bursting volume by the fans, what'll stop Gaga from reigning supreme for the next decade.

Lady Gaga was absolutely amazing in Dublin last night! We started queuing at 4 and there wasn't many people there at all. And gradually we kept moving up the queue, then it turned quarter past six and they told us doors wouldn't open till 7 and we were absolutely frozen. Then doors opened around five past seven and we got to the right of the stage in the second row, standing. First Semi Precious Weapons played, they are great performers but not my type of music, but the guitarist gave his guitar to a girl in the front row, who was about 3 people away from me! Then came Alphabeat who were actually really, really good! Then we waited ages for Gaga, who we thought would be on by 8.00pm but she eventually came on at 9.30pm. I don't want to say too much in case I ruin it for others but it is an amazing show which is definitely worth every penny. She ran through the songs very quick I thought, probably cos she was late coming on! But the stand out tunes I thought were Telephone (because she did the coregraphy which I've never seen before!) Speechless (cos there was a huge sing-along) and of course Bad Romance which she closed with! It's definitely a show you'd have to see to truly understand and appreciate.
Sorry for the essay but I tried to fit everything in! Oh and I took loads of vids but when I play them there's no sound! Boo hoo...
Just a few of the best pics I managed to take.
