Evertom might even top Arsenal, but Man City will knock Arsenal out of the top 4..

It won't be a top power 5 because Arsenal will just blend into a normal mid table club like Tottenham..

1. Liverpool
2. Chelsea
3. Man Utd
4. Man City
5. Everton
6. Arsenal
7. Aston Villa
Got to be the worst looking table ever.

A new manager would help.
A manager who has billions? Yeah, great idea.

Wenger's made bad decisions but look at what he has had to work with compared to Fergie and the manager of Chelsea.

Wenger would do no worse than Ferguson has if he was Man Utd manager. Im talking money wise. Arsenal can't go out and spend 25-30 million on one player and then go and do it again for another player.

Wengers transfers are usually good, he doesnt often ake a bad one.
and
What he does to make the football so good, hes such a quality manager.

I just wish he would be a bit more confident with spending the money he has.

Zidane reveals major Arsenal offer for Real Madrid's Huntelaar
07.08.09 | tribalfootball.com

Zinedine Zidane has revealed Arsenal have made an offer for Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The Daily Mail says Real Madrid special adviser Zidane has told journalists that Arsenal bid £17m for Huntelaar, but the Holland striker, also a target for Tottenham Hotspur, is closing in on a move to AC Milan.

Indeed, AC Milan are expected to announce Huntelaar's signing today, with the Dutchman due in Italy.

Arsenal up Marouane Chamakh offer to £7.5m as Zidane claims Gunners bid £17m for Spurs target Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

Arsenal are set to make an improved £7.5million bid for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh.

The French club felt the original £6m was ridiculous for a player they valued at £15m, but the Gunners have played hardball on player who is out of contract next summer.

Bordeaux are now desperate to do a deal after conceding that Chamakh will not sign a new contract and they are aware that the 25-year-old has his heart set on north London despite competing interest from Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers.

The Ligue 1 champions' president Jean-Louis Triaud said on Wednesday challenged Arsenal to raise their bid, but Arsene Wenger's men are still short of a revised £10m price-tag.

Wenger is using interest in Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou to show that he is prepared to walk away from a bid to sign Chamakh.

Kalou, 24, has a year left on his Stamford Bridge contract and is thought to be available for about £8m.

Real Madrid special adviser Zinedine Zidane has also told journalists that Arsenal bid £17m for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, but the Holland striker, also a target for Tottenham Hotspur, is closing in on a move to AC Milan.

Wenger has threatened to wait for Morocco international Chamakh, who could earn a massive pay rise on his current £16,000 a week if he sits out the final year of his contract.

Spurs and Fulham have also previously shown interest in Chamakh.

He wanted to come to the premiership and would have signed if we offered earlier...

Wenger made an offer last week he would have signed..

Johann 06-08-2009 03:51 PM

We waited too long, as usual.

keithafc 06-08-2009 04:15 PM

Can't see us having made an offer. Why would we need Huntelaar? We have a better player than him in Eduardo. Chamakh for me would be a better signing, not that he is a great goal scorer but because he offers something different.

30stone 06-08-2009 05:03 PM

Yes, but Eduardo has only just come back from injury and it never hurts to have 2 great goal scorers..

Yep - despite looking fit and raring to go for the new season it's plausible that he could suffer a little setback. It would also add to our depth - and quality depth at that.

Lauren 06-08-2009 05:20 PM
