Arsenal: The Making of a Modern Super-Club
New book out with a lot of quotes from David Dein. Saying how we need to just spend some money, and let people like usmanov buy whatever shares he wants.. Since he's willing to give Wenger "big money for any transfer he wants to make in january" |
Chester City have been given permission to start the new Blue Square Premier season this Saturday - but will have to start with a 25-point deduction.
|
Reports have came out about Liverpool being too strong this season, it also says.. "Many non-Liverpool players will be in pure fear when they face the new super strong Liverpool team, but they might use their millions to pay refs to swing the game against Liverpool!"
Looks like Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa already have the green eye.. |

Wenger has confirmed his interest in Fulham's giant defender Brede Hangelaand. :thumbs2: Whether he actually follows up on that interest and signs the man will remain to be seen. On a sour note, Rosicky has indeed picked up another hamstring injury which could sideline him for up to 6 weeks. :bored: |

On the pluss side.. From Arsenal.com. "Arsène Wenger is targeting up to two new players before the transfer window closes – but Patrick Vieira is unlikely to be one of them. Speaking at the launch of Arsenal’s Charity of the Season, the French manager suggested he was interested in “one offensive and one defensive player” to add to his squad." Hangeland and someone i guess, great news. |
Arsene Wenger: Everton Target Philippe Senderos Is Still An Arsenal Player
The Swiss centre-back is wanted by the Tofees, but he hasn't swapped north London for Merseyside just yet... So he's still with us for now. Wonder how much Everton will pay for him.. |
I reckon we could get about 6M for him.
|
See, the downside about signing Hangeland now is that he would be ineligible to play in the Champions League should we progress to the group stages. It would have been nice to have him available for all competitions, especially the CL. Oh well, I'm sure we would be able to cope. He would definitely bolster our chances of a title success so I'm hoping we can get him.
