It's going to make Kirkwood and his team think the hatchet job they've done on the show is good and will continue on this downward spiral.

Fantastic award for them to win for the first time but may do more harm than good in the long run.

Me. I Am Salman 24-05-2014 10:42 PM

wow :o well done Hollyoaks!

Vanessa 24-05-2014 10:43 PM

I'm enjoying the show. It's a lot better than the other soaps at the moment.

Daniel. 24-05-2014 10:52 PM

I'm really happy they won best soap, they deserve it even though only Patick, Maxine and Sienna are the only ones worth watching atm.

bbfan1991 25-05-2014 10:35 PM

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS:):D. I am so buzzing that Hollyoaks won Best Soap, congratulations to all of the cast and crew. They deserve this recognition for the hard work they do.

As for those being snobbish without the show without actually watching it, well their opinions don't matter to me and those having sour grapes should let ''HO'' the known underdog to celebrate their victory.

Us fans are amazing, not fair we're all being accused of multiple voting when the other soaps have fans who do that too. If we multiple voted then HO would win every award, but Corrie actually won loads of awards.

Well done to Anna Passey, Danny Mac and Ellis Hollis on their wins too! I was so buzzing for the cast and BK at the end, their reactions were amazing:cool::worship:.

bbfan1991 25-05-2014 10:42 PM

Winning moment!!!:cool::worship:

Can the title of the thread be temporarily be changed too please?

bbfan1991 25-05-2014 10:46 PM

As we won three viewer voted awards the cast will take part in a LIVE YouTube #ChallengeHollyoaks Event on Tuesday at 7.30pm. (1/2)

From HO's Twitter account!

I love this! HO definitely has the best rapport and interaction with their fans, so what if it's cleverly done via social media the show is genuinely grateful in showing the appreciation to the fans for our loyalty to the show, but they know we are not afraid to criticise the show and point out flaws!

Me. I Am Salman 25-05-2014 10:49 PM

so happy they one, makes up for all the times they've been overlooked <3 and yeah I love their twitter.

Hollyoaks lining up big story for Esther: 'She'll be used a lot more'

Quote:

Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks has promised that there is a "spectacular" storyline ahead for her character Esther Bloom.

Esther has experienced quieter times in the village since she split from girlfriend Tilly Evans at the beginning of the year.

Franks has been part of the Hollyoaks cast since early 2011.

Her biggest storyline to date has been Esther's bullying ordeal, which led to the troubled character making a suicide attempt.

Franks said last night: "After the bullying storyline, I'm appreciating having down time and being able to do what I want - and I'm more than ready to go back and work my butt off."

Fab news:). Esther is my favourite of the younger characters and she has been underused recently, glad she is getting a SL.

Jazmine Franks is so underrated.

Hollyoaks' Stephanie Waring on Cindy bipolar plot: 'It's very serious'

Quote:

Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has spoken to Digital Spy about the challenges of portraying Cindy Cunningham's next big storyline, which will see the mum-of-two diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Cindy has an emotional journey ahead over the next few months as recent traumas in her life finally take their toll on her mental wellbeing.

Hollyoaks bosses have consulted with the mental health charity Mind while devising the storyline to ensure a sensitive and accurate portrayal of the issue.

Waring has been closely involved in the research process and wants to help to raise awareness of the condition.

Hollyoaks star teases big new Ste story: 'It hasn't been done before'

Quote:

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has told Digital Spy that there are "very long-term" plans for his character Ste Hay.

Show bosses are planning to delve deeper into Ste's ongoing drugs problem in the build-up to a big storyline airing next year.

The popular actor also spoke to us about Ste's possible guilt in the 'Who Killed Fraser?' mystery, and whether there is happiness ahead as Ste continues to grow closer to his latest love interest John Paul McQueen.

This year's Soap Awards were a big night for Hollyoaks as the show won four prizes, including the coveted Best Soap gong.

Patrick gets even worse in upcoming week,

Hollyoaks newcomer
Spoiler:

Nico
Spoiler:

will be revealed as Sienna Blake's daughter later this month.

As previously reported, Nico is a 14-year-old girl who is clearly hiding something when she arrives in the village and gets to know Sienna's brother Dodger.

While Dodger is intrigued by Nico, viewers soon learn that she is Sienna's long-lost daughter and has come to Hollyoaks to meet her at last.

Nico hopes to pluck up the courage to speak to Sienna when she spots her outside College Coffee, but ironically her arrival comes just as Sienna is distracted by the continuing search for her daughter 'Caroline'.

After a hiring a private investigator named Owen to help with the hunt, Sienna is furious when she receives a call to say that it isn't going well - causing her to storm off straight past Nico.

Spoiler:

Sienna's father Patrick (Jeremy Sheffield) is furious when he finds out about the PI, so he intervenes by paying Owen to lie about his findings.

When Patrick realises that Sienna still won't give up until she meets her daughter, he tells her that he knows where she is.

Putting a new plan into action, Patrick takes Sienna to a playing field and lies that her daughter is playing hockey there.

With Caroline's adoptive mum Denise there to back up Patrick's lies, it's agreed that Sienna will wait until Caroline is 16 before forming a relationship with her. But how long will Sienna be fooled by Patrick's deception?
