Really thought Circle Final would have reached 900k against BB at 500k.

Surprised BB increased from the weekend. Perhaps it will be back in the 700s now Circle is over?

The video of the announcement has 300k on Facebook
Soon it'll surpass the actual ratings lol

supertv247 09-10-2018 02:29 PM

The video on Facebook + Twitter + YouTube has more views than last nights episode lol

Kinda nice to see it blow up though, it's done so more than 'Dan and Kate meeting' on the circle which I thought would be the video to go viral last night, if anything

thisisdanny 09-10-2018 02:31 PM

I loved the circle but hopefully now that's finished then BB may gain some more viewers

Most of those videos ‘went viral’ MONTHS after being uploaded too. Tiffany was #1 for ages then like a year later a lot of weird videos spiked, like Jeremy and Steph, Bear and Chloe

The weirdest thing to go viral was this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdLa7FUH4W8

3.2m views on a series that was watched by 1.6m. :joker:

The Mail are reporting on the low ratings :bawling:

I think a lot of people are watching the Circle final on all 4 seeing as it was on quite late on a Monday night. It’s odd seeing as it was the #1 trending on twitter for hours and I knew so many people watching it...

DouglasS 09-10-2018 07:42 PM

Way more people watch the circle on catch up than watch BB though. I think I read the circle gets around 300k on catchup/4od whereas BB is around 50k. So actually more people are watching the circle each day than Big Brother.

The official ratings of the circle are like 800-900k IIRC whereas BB gets 1.1million

T* 09-10-2018 07:54 PM

People forget The Circle has a big share when it comes to the teens/young adult segment and they rely more on catch up/streaming whereas BB now has an older audience of more of the middle aged segment thus watching it live. That’s why more streaming figures get added to The Circle whereas Big Brother struggles in streaming (Plus My5 is one of the most user unfriendly catch-up service probably of all UKTV.)

T* 09-10-2018 07:58 PM

I think it’s pretty clear The Circls will return and I think it’ll do a Love Island, I mean it’s that good that it’s already been picked up by Netflix and that’s going to increase demand for a UK version. And I think Studio Lambert and Channel 4 are delighted with that as a result. They took a gamble and it was looking like it was going to not pay off but it’s done the opposite. People adored it!

T* 09-10-2018 07:59 PM

Even without the viewing figures The Circle has come up well on top vs BB.

supertv247 09-10-2018 08:11 PM

BB got 40k per episode on demand last week whilst The Circle got around 2-300k per episode. But overall BB was still just ahead

It’s sad that 10 years ago, the WHOLE audience that BB19 is getting could switch off overnight during an episode of BB8 or something and it wouldn’t make a blinking difference :(

pontyboi 10-10-2018 11:06 AM

Wonder if todays ratings will be higher than usual due to no The Circle.

Nope. Quite the bloody opposite.

Big Brother excl +1: 480k (4.8%) :skull:

Rob! 10-10-2018 11:53 AM

It’s the 10:15 start. It makes no sense for it to be in the 600s vs The Circle and then to do that the next day otherwise.

Rob! 10-10-2018 11:55 AM

540k with +1.

supertv247 10-10-2018 11:55 AM

including +1 - Big Brother 540k

I actually wanna see just how low it can go is that bad

RileyH 10-10-2018 12:03 PM

What a ****ing mess :laugh2:

BBDodge 10-10-2018 12:05 PM

What's wrong with viewers these days, watching inferior copies when the original is still so good.

supertv247 10-10-2018 12:10 PM

Fair enough the series is gonna rate bad because C5 have ****ed it over, put it in a **** schedule and cancelled it etc - but how do they KEEP losing more viewers?

Everyone is raving about it being such a good 'true to big brother' series and yet since launch its lost 400k viewers which is almost half the bloody thingy!
