Czechia is literally GROSSES KINO (sorry for my german words there)

one of the contenders for sure this year, same as Albania, Cyprus, Norway, Australia, Ireland, Israel

Nicky91 22-04-2025 07:43 AM

Czechia, Cyprus, Croatia and Norway are so so great

Nicky91 24-04-2025 08:30 AM

Slovenia entry, version with one half of Estonia's 2001 ESC winning entry Dave Benton, whom contributed his own recent life story

this makes me cry so much  God Bless You Aruban Eurovision LEGEND

I just seen the odds for the semi-finals and it’s looking like Armenia and Ireland might not qualify :bawling:

odds don't say that much

i mean Semi 1 only has 4 sure qualifiers (Sweden, Albania, Estonia, Ukraine) all other places are up for grabs

same goes for Semi 2, also a few sure qualifiers (Israel, Finland, Greece, Lithuania) and all other places up for grabs, and i can see Finland winning the semi tbh

Qualifiers for semi final rounds are hard to call, as there’s always a few which get through unexpectedly.

in semi 1 there are only 4 sure qualifiers for me

Albania
Ukraine
Estonia
Sweden

so there are 6 places up for grabs whoever performs best on the night i guess, but could San Marino qualify on song merit alone? since their entry is most watched out of all entries this year, it'll deffo connect with italians for sure, however Gabry also has his Eiffel 65 fame throughout europe ''I'm Blue'' is still quite popular, which he also performed at the london party btw, with his tutta l'italia vocalists Andrea Bonomo, Edwyn Roberts (Edwyn whom was the co-writer for Diodato Fai Rumore, the intended entry for italy in 2020 another nice fun fact to share)

Semi 2

the sure qualifiers for me

Finland
Israel
Austria
Czechia

but as for the other 6, i really have no idea how it'll go

i could see Serbia q-ing instead of a Ireland maybe, the song might be dated as hell, but Princ is a good performer, pretty sure the aquaman likeness vibes will also help him, and that Zeljko final touch in the song's revamp also made it much cleaner, more polished tbh

could see a shock nq for Denmark (where people expect it to qualify but in the end it missing out)

i wonder what Montenegro could do from the deathslot, it is a dramatic typical Dimitrov ballad, the revamp enhanced the bond vibes a lot more too, and Nina is a top vocalist

Greece i am surprised some are questioning Klavdia's chances, since it is a solid ballad, cute singer, greek language, i would have this as a qualifier i hope

Lithuania will qualify due to the Nirvana likeness vibes and in lithuanian also helps a lot

How does everyone feel about the UK entry? I’ve seen alot of people hating it and alot of people loving it :conf: i’d probably give it 6/10

I like ours, but not sure it suits Eurovision.

Yeah i kind of agree. But i feel Eurovision is a kinda free for all these days and you hear so many things that aren’t very “Eurovision”, Lithuania this year for example… i like the mix though, i feel if every country had a campy pop song it would be a bit too much :joker:

that's because of 100% televote semi's, those who compete in the semi finals can send riskier entries nowadays

those from the big 5 and host, still need to go for something what can appeal the most to the juries and televoters

Nicky91 01-05-2025 12:31 PM

but it's not like ballads can't do well with the televoters

like Estonia 2023, Serbia 2024 not the most memorable of entries, but still both managed to survive the semi, and in Estonia 2023's case they did better in the final than the semi

jones89 01-05-2025 01:32 PM

I think Israel is definitely the best ballad this year.. hope she does decent

Nicky91 02-05-2025 08:00 AM

i'd go with a Campy pop song, with synthpop influences

composed by the queens of dated music that are Ylva & Linda Persson

eurovision is for the gays, so i myself would have to adapt

''The Hero'' would be my preferred title

Nicky91 02-05-2025 08:09 AM

Sweden rule ESC

especially with the DILF that is Martin Osterdahl :flutter: such a good looking man

Nicky91 04-05-2025 08:18 AM

i only am watching the grand final, like everyone should

like who cares about the semi's when we already know those in the final, since it is obvious who are qualifying and who aren't, the public are that pathetically predictable :joker:

Nicky91 04-05-2025 08:36 AM

my running order prediction for the grand final

Quote:

1. Finland
2. Spain
3. Cyprus
4. Ukraine
5. Israel
6. Estonia
7. Malta
8. France
9. Austria
10. Denmark
11. Sweden
12. United Kingdom
13. Norway
14. Italy
15. Australia
16. Netherlands
17. Greece
18. Lithuania
19. Switzerland
20. Belgium
21. Czechia
22. Germany
23. Armenia
24. Ireland
25. Albania
26. Luxembourg

Nicky91 04-05-2025 08:41 AM

San Marino won't qualify, because they are a micro state

Poland won't qualify, because i don't think the fandom cares about a boomer lady doing acrobatics up in the air :joker:

Azerbaijan won't qualify, because we heard that music already before with daft punk

Serbia, Montenegro won't qualify because people don't care about balkan gibberish songs in native language

Croatia will barely miss out of the final i think, as usual in 11th

Slovenia will be last place of semi 1 with that horrible depressing snooze, about how fragile life, that pretentious ''song''

Nicky91 04-05-2025 04:22 PM

due to removing his wisdom teeth

Norway's Kyle Alessandro will not sing live during the first semi final, but playback
