Byee! Have fun with your travels!

InTheHood 02-07-2009 12:16 AM

Oh I will, Britney and all that.

Wonder if she can speak French, Flemish or German :conf2:

Guten Tag Berlin? :laugh2: Or will she still be saying Good Evening London :laugh2:

MarkWaldorf 02-07-2009 12:17 AM

Hahaha. I don't know if she can, but I imagine she'd be the type of person interested in doing so. She loves culture.

InTheHood 02-07-2009 12:19 AM

Well, she couldn't distinguish between London and Manchester

Ciao!

MarkWaldorf 02-07-2009 12:23 AM

On Bliss now, 50 Enormous Love Songs.

At last viewing she was number 33, so unless they change it (and they sometimes do!), she'll be on later. Playing 48 at the moment.

I'm hoping Radar turns up today. Thursday is a good day for Britney premieres in the past, usually late afternoon.

001steven 02-07-2009 10:38 AM

The radar videos had alot of of mixed opinions

InTheHood 02-07-2009 11:00 AM

Individual choice. If you like it, I wouldn't care what anyone else thinks, I know I don't take notice.

She's done better, she's done worse, but it's another digitally altered video.

It kind of annoys me how she's made to look different than she is, she mimes and she constantly sings about sex and people wanting a piece of her.

The sooner she gets her ownership of herself back and she becomes comfortable in who she is, the better, although this of course may never happen as she's badly damaged and it takes years of work, which isn't going to happen in the spotlight. She really needs to take a 2 year break and I think all of her loyal fans would embrace the comeback if it meant she came back stronger and in a better frame of mind.

I sadly think Radar will be another outside the top 10 and could be as bad as If U Seek Amy chart position wise, although Britain is now one of her smaller markets, so it's not too surprising.

Come on MTV, Box, Chart Show - get the video on!!!!

Do Somethin' now on Smash Hits

Not looking good for Radar today. If she comes on before I go on Saturday, i'll be back.

If not, i'll have to get my girlfriends to record it when away.

In the meantime, enjoy :cheer:

It's lack of promotion over here for her singles to chart well, her fan base over is strong but America is her biggest Market, asking as the albums chart and sell well we can't really complain cause it's the album which us most important to chart well.

MarkWaldorf 02-07-2009 12:37 PM

I think Radar can do well if the release date is closer.

InTheHood 02-07-2009 03:38 PM

She's less promoted in mainland Europe than over here, but she does far better in the main.

Britain is one of her smallest markets now. Anyone who is anyone will know about her already, so they will buy if they like, she doesn't need much promotion and not all her tickets for her gigs were sold and had to be reduced in price for many, yet in Europe they go quickly. I've known lots of people who used to be Britney fans, but have gone off her, even more have after her UK dates, by all accounts, especially the Manchester gig.

If U Seek Amy only reaching 20 was incredibly bad and she only has 1 song inside the Top 100 selling songs of the decade. I blame the fans who voted for that song for trying to get a cheap laugh, rather than picking a song on merit. It got played enough, it was everywhere on the music channels for 8 weeks. I actually liked the song alot more than some of her others, but I will never ever vote for a song to be released, mainly because I think it should be down to the artist, and she's already got enough people making her decisions for her, so i'm not going to join in the controlling.

Circus the album peaked at 4 and dropped at an alarming rate. Other albums released around that time are still charting well, weeks after Circus disappeared.

I would agree about release dates. Circus was in the chart for near 3 months before release. I do struggle to see who will buy Radar, apart from her biggest fans, as it's already been on 2 albums. It's not just 1 album and the song is not a Britney classic. It won't hit top 10 and may do as badly as If U Seek Amy.

She needs to go and find some classic Britney material, promote it well, avoid the same undertone of song that she has done for a while and come back with a new set of lyrics. She has to get away from sleeping around and the paparazzi wanting a piece of her, as I know alot of people are fed up of the same tune.

We need something fun and uplifting, but unfortunately, her mis-management is stifling her. I'm not sure what the likes of Rudolph and Jive/Zomba are up to, to be honest. It's almost as if they are trying to force her into something she doesn't want.

Their is alot going on behind the scenes, i'm sure of it. Something is not right. I personally believe she will go more into acting. She's a funny girl who is good at comedy. I think the acting will become more and more and the music less and less.

Umm.. me, Hugo and Damon all went to the Manchester gig and it was ****ing EPIC and pisse all over all 8 London shows!!

Only reason why some people (who weren't even there) said it wasn't good was because of the 'What's up, London?' comment!

I didn't go to Manchester, but did all the London ones and i'm going to Antwerp and Berlin, which i'm sure will be better again (I hope!)

I'm hoping she doesn't mime though this time, although I think it's locked down.

I agree the performances were good, not as good as her previous tours that I watched, but they were very very good.

Yep, after they were sold cheaply close to the date. [/quote]No. All the London shows sold out on May 13th

and Manchester sold out on June 4th because my friend was going to buy tickets and the woman said 'Sorry, they've just sold out'

MrGaryy 02-07-2009 04:15 PM

yeah but Michael that's just the small number of tickets they have in store.

Sophii3x 02-07-2009 04:18 PM

The Radar video has really dissapointed me. It's nice to have a video which is sophisticated and different.. but it doesn't go with the song at all. She looks gorge in it though!

I managed to get tickets for the second Paris show :) But I dunno if I'll go cause my cousin's cousin (they live in Paris) loves Britney and she didn't manage to get tickets and she's really upset about it so I may give mine to her if she hasn''t got her own by then.
