Trump is still as fit as a fiddle and very sharp. Can you say the same about Biden? The man always look like he could keel over anytime.

Insurrectionist's are not allowed to run for office again. He''s already been claimed to be guilty of insurrection by Colorado state courts, so there's nothing else to decide. I don't think the SC will allow it to stand, because it's a provably corrupt court full of RW demagogue's.

i would rather Trump wasn't in a position to stand, but it's not Trump that is the defining problem. It's the american people.

Removing him from the ballot, won't resolve anything. It's feeding the narrative of fixed elections. It's increasing the chances of there actually being something close to a civil war. They have to leave it to the american people to make their choice with people on the ballot that they want

It's not really about resolving anything, it's about actions having consequences. You or I could not go round breaking the law, so no one else should be allowed to either.

Civil war gets thrown around a lot when it comes to US political discourse, but it's not really very likely. One side has all the power in the world behind it, and the other would be a disgruntled set of red hat wearing weirdos talking tough and being 400lbs overweight.

However, if Trump does win the general, then it could well lead to US open fascism, which would be far worse for the world as a whole than some root beer chugging bloaters getting their knickers in a twist.
