Oh I do, I was gutted Alien went but I'm not going to trash the show for it or pretend I will stop watching

Hilarious especially when Rita had the producers in her ear to take it to deadlock, Grimmy was never going to choose one over the other

Sorry but she messed up tonight. If she preferred Mason's performance then fair enough but she admitted that Seann was better, hence why her decision was so utterly idiotic (and much worse than a mentor remaining neutral, which they usually do).

While I agree it should go by the sing off performance it's not a rule so the judges can interpret the rule as they wish surely?

Not really,Nick had the chance to say "I send home Mason" but he got scared, he didn't base it on the performance which is the whole point of a sing off.. I mean look at how many popular contestants went out on deadlock that people ended up fuming about? loads..

T* 08-11-2015 08:11 PM

No but it certainly should be a rule. It's not a matter of her breaking rules, but abandoning any credibility she might have had as a judge.

Nick didn't base it on the performance either.. he made the risky decision to take it to deadlock.. do you forget how many good people go out on that  it's both of their fault that seann went not just 1 person

I agree it should but it's still not so Rita decided to vote to save the person who she feels has more to offer, that's a fairly legitimate decision.

Okay we're going round in circles now, I mention Rita and you bring up Nick.

My point is that I already expect the mentor of the two in the sing-off to try to remain neutral, they have a sense of loyalty towards their acts (but yes, he still copped out, I've said that). Rita was unbiased and had no reason to vote for any reason other than the sing-off performances.

And I don't think we're going to make any progress here.

People who claim to have loved Seann and are angry at Rita should have voted more for him to stay, He went because he had the 2nd least votes not because Rita preferred Mason.
