The likes of Candace Owens do it purely for financial benefit because being a right wing commentator that's also a minority is a profitable position to have since the right wing are desperate for tokens to be like 'Look! When it comes to Trump voters, they vote for him out of pure ignorance. Nothing Trump has done has benefited anyone that isn't mega rich. Yet people in the middle and working class will continue to be his main base because his racism appeals to them, because they've deluded themselves into thinking he is benefitting them when he's only eroding their quality of life but he hates mexicans and black people so it's K.

I think it's only inevitable that generations of failings under democratic presidents to really bring meaningful change or equality to black (or other minority) people in America would result in some crossing party lines and looking elsewhere, but aside from from a business perspective there's little positive change to be made there.
