Good luck to her Toy Soldier, hopefully there'll be no complications.

Nice to see first hand the wheels in motion.

Hopefully she'll get her second dose sooner rather than later.

She's had a date/time to go back but I can't remember when she said now. :hehe:

I'll ask her again tomorrow - sure she said March? So not -too-bad. She's just happy she's at least half way there.

[The Moderna vaccine has become the
third coronavirus jab to be approved for
use in the UK - with an additional
10 million doses ordered.
The US-based company's vaccine was
shown to have 94% efficacy against
COVID-19 in final trials.
Seven million doses had already been
ordered by the UK government with
a further 10 million expected to follow - but it
will likely not become available until March.]

This.

It's easy to just give up, but the Vaccines are a strong sign that we're nearly out of the woods.

Define nearly though ...

The new vaccine won’t even be available for at least two months .. we may be losing a couple if THOUSAND people each day in the meantime.

Vaccinations will still be going ahead, it not like we gave to wait for Moderna, it’s good to know its coming online snd will boost suoply

Having Moderna vaccine available today would not save those lives

Nicky91 09-01-2021 07:53 AM

NY Governor Andrew Cuomo did this, more people now who can administer the COVID vaccines at distribution sites

also starting on Monday, NYS will begin vaccinating next group of people

How is Mrs TS after her jab?

Zizu 09-01-2021 11:16 AM

Sky News has a specialist speaking .
Dr Zudin Puthucheary who is a an Intensive & Critical Care Consultant in England.

He paints a terrible picture sadly ..

Hospitals are ready to burst , all staff exhausted etc
We have more patients than we’ve ever had to deal with and less staff than ever to treat them .. plus a critical lack

More worryingly he said that 30% of people needing intensive care will die .. BUT the 70% of those that survive will be DISABLED for YEARS to come !

The virus does so much damage to your system but the main problem is that you will lose over 2kg of muscle mass each DAY !!! If you are in intensive care for two to three weeks you lose a frightening amount of muscle mass .

The staff are now having to make decisions.. who lives and who dies .

Watch out for him on Sky News throughout today .. he will be on a regular loop ..

I’m actually terrified .

We all cope in different ways ..

Many aren’t taking this disaster seriously.

This guy isn’t a scaremonger .. Check him out on Sky News .

He finished by saying he was SCARED and ANGRY at the public for not staying at home ..

The footfall is apparently double what it was in the first lockdown when things weren’t that desperate !

Applying some logic here how can he know this? They can’t say how long immunity will last if you catch Covid but he can confidently claim people will suffer for years?

Why don’t you get yourself signed off by your GP on grounds of stress?
