When exactly do odds suspend?

I posted that before having checked! I wasn’t expecting them to still be moving so much! This is the first time I’ve been invested enough to keep checking this close to the episode airing

She looks quite likely to go tonight, Lily is becoming a much stronger fave to go first, but BP looks in serious danger of going 2nd. Khaled and Ali are fighting out for 3rd fave, Emma can be forgot as she's going nowhere.

I think it’s probably based on the fact that most casual viewers will vote for Ali over Khaled. In the end I think it will be Lily and BP though no matter what. People have went in hard on BP to protect their faves

Could have been one big bet. I imagine 12/1 was very tempting for some as it looked too long to me. 7/1 is about where he was. If he keeps coming in, it's a concern.

Lily seems to be gone, but second is certainly up for grabs.

Agreed, probably a few biggish bets on Khaled, but nothing major, he's just drifted out to 8/1 again. Ali seems consistent 7's too

Yeah you’re probably right there - I would imagine casual viewers are much more likely to vote Ali than Khaled

Having said that, I would’ve thought the TellyMix poll would be more reflective of casual viewers, and they’ve got Khaled in second. Am I wrong in that assumption?

I'm definitely not claiming the Tellymix poll is wrong but the issue is you can only vote for one housemate. If those who vote for Ali or Lily split their votes with each other then it could change the dynamics somewhat, or Lily and BP, Ali and BP etc. Of course, some may split with Khaled too.

My issue is marrying the polls with the odds. Lily being up there ties with both, then it becomes a bit of a mess. If you're going to lay odds on something as.., small fry... as Big Brother, surely you look into these kinds of things before putting money on?

I think given it’s a double the TellyMix poll is more likely to not be as accurate for the second evictee. Maybe I’m just telling myself that to cope �� but even though that poll has 2k+ votes usually there’s around 300k people (or phones..) that vote in the eviction so we can’t take any single poll too seriously

I think it has been with the solo evictions so far. But then, so have the bookmakers. At least one will be wrong tonight.

Yeah, the fact that this is a double eviction makes that even more of an issue because people are much more likely to be splitting votes this time. Hard to predict how that might affect things. What I’m seeing the most is people splitting their votes between BP & wherever else they think will save their favourite (ie BP & Khaled to save Lily/Ali, BP & Lily to save Ali/Khaled, BP & Emma to save Khaled/Lily/Ali.)

Speaking of polls, I did just combine the data from 5 different polls (here, Digital Spy, FB, Reddit, TellyMix) totalling 5779 votes and got this:

Lily - 35.8%
Rosie - 21.3%
Khaled - 19.7%
Ali - 14.5%
Emma - 8.7%
